I've noticed that ever since the Cathy Newman interview, the media in the UK will no longer have Jordan Peterson interviewed by one person. It is now always two-on-one or three-on-one. Therefore they can't make themselves look like an idiot anymore. Because now there will always be someone to immediately jump in and change the subject to cover for the other persons argument being destroyed by Peterson.

But it's because of the cultural difference - on US or Canadian TV, the most important factor, ultimately, is time. So the selection and training of TV personalities, and their goals, are different; there is no time to explore anything in depth, it's all about getting the most interesting points (preferably scandalous ones) out before the time break. To be clear, I am not saying that the Brits are smarter, or more likely to be factually and/or logically correct. They may be - and from what I can see, quite often are - just as wrong, but their position is still more elaborate and sophisticated.

TV hosts -- You're not going to trip up Jordan or get him to cower by bringing up some BS another person says. He will tell you, "That's incorrect and here's why it's incorrect." No hesitation and no waffling. He knows exactly what he's saying AND he knows exactly what he's said in the past. He is not unsure or confused about whatever subject you're talking about. There was a strong implication during this interview that Jordan Peterson was somehow responsible for Cathy Newman receiving death threats for HER behaviour during this interview. This is a prime example of the importance of Jordan's points on individual responsibility

You're right but bear in mind, these alleged death threats were only claimed, no evidence was produced to verify her claims. As is usual in these cases, when the left leaning person loses an argument, as Cathy Newman clearly did, they try to frame themselves as the victim in some way, thus undermining the opponents comments or beliefs.

He really is spot on about equality of opportunity doesn't lead to equal outcome. For example, here in Sweden there's been very equal opportunity and treatment for years - actually to the extent of forcing traditionally male behaviours on to girls and coming up with a gender neutral pronoun - yet 90% of sewing machines are bought by women, and 90% of motorbikes are bought by men.

Talking of outcomes and Sweden. I noted a few months back how a Swedish minister regarded it is a problem that had to be solved that economically independent women chose to bring up their kids and leave the workforce, to the tune of four out of five. Thus resulting in an inadequate supply of women candidates for company board membership. I noticed because exactly the same thing happened where I worked. Four out of five women in good supervisory engineering roles quit work altogether to bring up their kids. What many of us fought for in however small a way, was for equality of opportunity, and for women to have choices in their lives. That is not the same as insisting on an arithmetical equality of outcomes.
