My advice: Life comes together in Self Understanding after you're 60. (I'm 62.) Don't worry so much about it now before then. Make good plans and let go. Relax, Be Gentle with yourself, Pay Attention, Surrender, and accept and Work with what the universe has in store for you. You'll be a lot happier and feel less chaotic. If you can do one good thing for someone else every day or even just a few times a week,you're in service to the universe and your life will multiply in measures beyond your comprehension. Learn How To Know and Love Yourself by going within. If you got that made all the rest is just gravy.

@Paladin Ely I understand what you're saying but re read the paragraph again. I have found in my life that if you make good plans your life will open up more as you get older not constrict. Most people what they do is they can't see the forest for the trees and so they work themselves to death and then think:" oh now I'm going to live my life once I retire". I don't think that's a good thing to do that's just my opinion. I know too many people that have died within 6 months of receiving their retirement social security here in the US. Life is precious and if you do have goals and ambitions that's great.. I'm just saying that if you have good plans with your life and enjoy each day your expectations will be Exceeded I promise you that. It's kind of counterintuitive I don't know how to explain it but if "you're" just focused only on "your" career and making money and doing things like that than what happens is "you" lose sight of what a wonderful life "you "can have. If you want a large house, a smart beautiful trophy wife, lots of kids and a Lamborghini then do it! Enjoy it! but know that your life is not DEFINED by those things. It's only when you get older in your life that you begin to realize these things.. you can know it intellectually but once you cross 60 then you begin to know and experience these things in your heart.. that has been the case for me and other friends of mine that I know. I put you in quotes not to mean you paladin but "you"in the third person I don't know if you're a native English speaker, I wanted to be clear. Thank you so much for your reply to my comment!

We all make mistakes in life and you are eventually going to do something completely ridiculous that you are going to regret later on in life. The only option is to just learn from your mistakes and failures and move on. It the only way you are going to learn about the true meaning of life itself. THE REAL LIFE ITSELF.

One thing I will say particularly regarding jobs. Like he said, find something even if it is a bad call, do something and then figure out how to make it better. Advice I often give particularly men that ask. If you are in a job or workplace that you feel is stagnating or is getting nowhere. Whatever you do, DONT QUIT. Look for opportunities to do what you want ideally when you have free time but DONT QUIT your regular job. Then see about in your spare time how you can start to establish yourself in your new line of work. Then once you are fully established in the new line of work then request a resignation and you will be much happier because you are now fully fledged in your new line of work that you wanted to do. This way, you 1. Will not run out of work or money to survive 2. The pressure to perform in your new line of work is significantly lowered financially because you have a current full time job 3. When those opportunities arise to push you slowly towards your ideal line of work, you take them, you figure your new work out, you figure yourself out and you can also see if this is what you actually want to do. 4. Whatever money you make in your extra work (establishing your new line of work) you get it effectively risk free, tax free because it is money earned on top of your regular day job. And 5. You will enjoy it that much more because you have initially very little stress of finances, performance, time and clientele to worry about because you were not relying on it in those first few phases. I think that can be applied across the board. Tho' I don't know everyone's working schedule. But if it is anything like mine, you will have free time to choose how you spend it. And whatever you do, don't stop being willing to learn.
