Donna, I love both the quilts so much, but the scrappy quilt reminds me of an antique quilt which I love. Thanks so much for all your help in making these quilts. At 72 I just recently made my first quilt for a friend in the Nursing Home. Wish I would have started this much earlier in my life. Now getting ready to make a crib quilt for our new great grandbaby coming in July. Once again, many thanks for your inspiration and getting me started on a new venture in my life. ♥

Again, another beautiful quilt, and I can’t believe the number of scraps you used. Lots of ladies are using scraps, or showing us how to use them, but this one seems so easy. I can’t wait to get started. You are the BEST instructor. I like them both for different reasons. I am getting a list ready to order from you, but I don’t own a computer so it’s harder for me. If your children are still videoing and editing, they are doing a fabulous job. They make you look even better than you are. You and Matt are doing such a wonderful job for the quilting world. Thank you so much!!!

This is perfect Donna - I have been cutting 2 1/2” strips out of lots of donated leftovers from old friends. I can’t wait to get started. Especially as I have redesigned my sewing room & built a cutting table out of cubed shelving to suit. Widowed 6 months - “When you are feeling low - then sew sew sew!”. I had a quilt made for each of my children. My son's was made with three generations of shirts. I saved all his shirts from when he was little. I took some of my husband's old shirts and my father's shirts when he passed away and turned it into a beautiful keepsake quilt for my son. My son is not a choir but the quilt choked him up!

I like both versions of this quilt. Thanks, Donna, for another free pattern and great tutorial! I noticed a little bit of a 3-d illusion (like tumbling blocks) in the jelly roll quilt, probably because there was more contrast between the strips. That was interesting. I will probably make the scrap version, however, because it looks like a great way to use up a lot of assorted scraps, especially pre-cut leftovers!

Donna, I made your scrap quilt using low volume to medium scraps and some purple fabric scrap squares I bought at a thrift shop! My scraps ranged from the 1930s to present time. I picked one scrap to use as the focal or design fabric and then just started pulling anything that had close to the same colors. Oh my gosh it is one of my favorite quilts I have ever made! I did make one small change. I extended the width by finishing off the last half square triangle to make it whole. I then added 4" more (in total) scraps on each side. This 4" was sometimes made up of more than one scrap. I love the way you use ALL the scraps you pull! Thank you for this tutorial!

I like both versions, but the scrappy one reminds me of my grandma's quilts. She raised 11 children, and after the last few came along, all the hand-me-downs were pretty worn, so grandma would cut up the clothes and make quilts. With time and wear, most of the scraps were fairly light colored. Thank you Donna and crew for a trip down memory lane with this quilt. I bet this design would look just as great if all dark scraps were used with a light accent. Keep the wonderful tutorials coming. I love them all !!!!

I love the scrappy version the best. Maybe my huge pile of 2 1/2" scrap strips has been clamoring for attention; I am going to get started on this project this weekend. Thanks for the easy tutorials!

Absolutely LOVE the Scrappy Quilt! Thank you Donna for all your great tips & techniques to build patchwork. I have sewn some that I thought I would never be able to manage. I really appreciate the entire Jordan family's effort to bring the love of quilting to so many of us.

Thank you, Donna, Matt, and your staff. I am always amazed at how you manage to choose your materials. Both versions of the "Scrappy quilt" are great. I like them both. I also love your tutorials and how detailed they are. I must mention too just how great that camera person is. The camera always seems to capture those close-ups when needed. A lot of my learning is from repetition and sight and your videos do just that. Thank you so much. I wish you and yours many, many more successful years ahead.

I love the scrappy version of the quilt! I’m definitely going to use this pattern to use up some of my stash of scraps. I think it would also work with a large pane, by cutting it into strips. Thank you for the free pattern, Donna! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦

O.K., this is the 3rd time I've watched this vid: I Love scrappy quilts, and I REALLY love this one! I started cutting a bunch of strips this afternoon, and I tend to lean towards blues & greens (at least for this quilt). I will be adding plenty of low volume strips, as it will set off the blues/green values. Now, the accent fabric (?). I do have a medium royal blue that is a tone on tone print (a gorgeous brilliant royal blue) that may very well be the accent fabric. I can't wait to get started! Donna, thank you for your inspirational videos; and gigantic thanks for making them easy to understand for the beginner & advanced quilter. Big hugs to the whole crew, from an artist & quilter in Sacramento, California ❤
