I am white as ya know Josh, if you remember. But one thing stuck in my craw bud. When you said you didn’t wanna go because you would ruin the party. Don’t think like that bud. I have been to an all black cookout and was accepted no probs at all. When people are face to face, you see the good in most of them because you can interact with them and get to know them. Social media is the bane of existence, because people aren’t face to face and only think of that person by what they say once. Glad you had a great time brother, I enjoyed the video as usual. 👍

Lol I'm white too and me and my friend went fishing together years ago. He tells me to hope in the car we going to get something to drink. He pulled up at a black club that was pretty rough. The prior weekend someone had gotten stabbed. I looked at him and said, man I know I have a good tan brother but yours is a lot darker than mine lol. He said come boy you with me. You'll be fine. I gotta say that's the most fun that I have ever had in a club. And no one got shot or stabbed that night so we had a blast. Shoot pool, drank a few beers, and talked to some ladies. Man we had a great time. It's ashamed that msm has gotten to a lot of people's heads. I'm in a small town but we all use to hang around and get along great regardless of skin color. We always have a helluva highschool football team too. The Richmond Raiders

I left Quantico Vs one Fri with my roommate to Ohio. He told me there may be some disagreements amongst the family. Around sunset after dinner was served. It Started. I ended up standing next to the but free where all the refreshments were. About 8-10 of us watching it unfold into a Malay! Stunned and nervous watching this. We all figured out talking that we weren't involved because, we were Not related to anyone Passed the free line! Still love telling that story.

Yeah, this reminds me of my family reunions. My family is southern and our family reunions were just...yeah. It felt almost like a reality show. Everybody kept cooking, talking and asking over and over if you want more of something "Anybody want any more peas? cornbread? fried chicken?" The most common phrases from my family reunion. "Hey, ya'll wanna hear about the time I..." and usually it's a story like something dangerous happened to them or not really food-friendly conversations. "Yeah, we skinned a deer the other day and you should have seen..." goes into so much detail while everyone is trying to eat. Also, my grandpa's and uncles always had to say something about fishing and who was best at it, who caught the biggest fish, and why their way of fishing was so much better than the others.(arguments at times over this) Meanwhile, my mom, grandma's and aunts talked non-stop about how long it took them to do their hair, cooking recipes(that eventually turned to arguments because each one had 'the only right' way to cook something) and what cousin so and so was doing what, with who, and just a lot of gossip. The cousins...well that is just too long of a story. Basically a lot of one-up talking about everything!

#6 we always have a minimum of one veteran. Usually 2 or more & rarely the same branch. I was Army, one cousin was Army one that was Air Force, a Aunt & Uncle that were both Marines, another couple cousins that were/are Navy, & a great uncle that was Coast Guard. I also have family that are police. Some Metro some Sheriff Dept. We all talk smack to each other. And brother if you get invited to a family reunion (at least with my family) then you are family. Nobody will look at your skin, with my family they'll look at the way you are built & say I got Josh when we play football. But fair warning most bright families don't play tag/flag football, so drink up before lol

When I say LARGE I don't mean "you gained a little weight" or "you are a bit heavier" ... NO. You are fixin to get absorbed by family. They will love on you 'till you can't stand it and retreat to a back corner near the fence. Maybe it is the old Sicilian traditions, but you will feel the love for days after LOL!

A couple of points regarding what you said in this video: everyone is family at a family BBQ and NOBODY goes hungry. Even if the get together is at a local park and people just wander in, everyone is family. NEVER say the phrase "I'm hungry" at a white family BBQ unless you just showed up and even then it's dangerous, people will hand you plate after plate of food until you can't even see straight. The reason this happens is because in that moment they have more than enough for themselves so they take the opportunity to look out for others and make sure nobody goes without, again everyone is family for the day.

2:16 first thing we ask anyone who comes in “are you hungry? Can I get you a little something?” As we say this, we’re heading to the food to see what we have & we’re starting to put it together before your shoes are off. Even if you say no, we will almost FORCE food on you. It doesn’t matter how poor we are, you will be offered something, that’s just good manners. Most of the time we keep cooking so there are leftovers & the people that we feel might be a little light on good food will be the ones to get the lions share. You’ll hear things like “oh no, there’s no way we’ll get through this on our own, you need to help us out by taking it”. That’s so the person receiving doesn’t feel like they are on the end of charity, we can be a little proud, we don’t like to be thought of as needing help. So we try to help without making it look like it.

Not uncommon back in the day we use to get around that when I was a kid and a teenager, thankfully the part we held it at had a bunch of old stables with picnic tables lined up inside of them (pig stables I think). Sadly as the older folks pasted away less and less people show up (can't blame them we had people flying/driving in from all over the country for a single day, and was showing up mainly because of grandpa/grandma or great grandpa or grandma. Add in the fact that you have internet to keep in touch means you can talk to your family at any time rather than just once a year) now a days we are lucky if 30 show up and have moved it to a lake so we can spend most of the day fishing and give the kids a playground or let them go swimming.
