The keyboard player and singer is Gregg Rolie, he was a keyboard and lead singer of Santana. He and Neal Shone the guitar player left Santana in 1972 and formed Journey. Steve came along a few years later.

The keyboard playing vocalist is Gregg Rolie. You can watch him perform and sing for Santana at Woodstock. He sang on their versions of "Black Magic Woman" and "Evil Ways", among others.

Keyboardist Greg Rolle was the lead vocalist until they brought in Steve Perry to add to their commercial appeal. Greg left the band in 1980. Greg was keyboardist and vocalist in Santana before this along with guitarist Neal Schon. This lineup had amazing vocal harmonies.

Keyboard, vocalist Gregg Rolie, Guitarist Neal Schon, bassist Ross Valory & drummer Aynsley Dunbar were the band on the first 3 albums (along with guitarist George Tickner on the 1st album). Steve Perry joined on the 4th album.

Greg Rollie was the Original Lead Singer for Journey, There Record Label was going to Drop Journey because there Record Sales had Dropped of, The Manager for Journey Brought in " Steve Perry " as there New Lead Singer and the rest is History. with Steve's " Vocals " and Song Writing made them one of the Best bands in Rock History.

Neil s on is the guitar player and founder from Santana’s first 3 albums. The keyboard player and singer is Greg a Rolie also from Santana. Journey’s first 3 albums I thought were the best and less pop.

*I see no reaction, by you, to their song; "Mother, Father - Live in Houston 1981" ... and you will truly enjoy it. Pretty sure the "other guy" singing is Gregg Rolie. I believe he did most vocals before they added Steve Perry to the band. My first Journey album was titled "Next"...the one just before Infinity; when Perry joined. It was nowhere near as good.*
