In my ears, Journey is one of the few groups that are better live than their studio versions. And Steve's incomparable voice ALWAYS makes my heart and soul smile.

Agree! I have to say that Steve Perry had an incomparable voice! I love Journey! But, Boston and Brad Delp, R.I.P. , it's hard to argue that his voice had more range! My two favorite bands besides Triumph and Rik!!!

Gregg Rollie is singing lead on this one, Steve Perry is doing backup. It is two separate songs that got played back to back on the record and the radio. Gregg Rollie used to be in Santana along with Neal Schon before they started Journey. Gregg Rollie sang lead on Santana's "Black Magic Woman" which you reacted to. Please do "Who's Crying Now" live from Houston 1981 by Journey. Thanks and God Bless.

The first vocalist on both songs is Journey co found e r Gregg Rolie of Santana fame. Gregg sang lead on many of Sanatanas' huge hits like Black Magic Woman, Evil Ways.. The two songs here were written prior to Steve Perry joining the band Journey and thete are a few songs like this one and Just the Same Way where Gregg Rolie shares with Steve Perry. Their live version on this on their Journey Captured album is fire.

The first few albums after Steve Perry joined Journey they had a number of songs where Steve (new lead singer) shared lead vocals with Gregg Rolie (keyboards and former lead singer). Believe it or not there is a deep cut tune where Steve Perry shares lead vocal with guitarist Neal Schon. It's a great tune titled "People and Places" and no one has ever reacted to it... hint-hint.

This entire album is a “road trip” album. This Infinity album from start to finish is a masterpiece. This is my favorite Journey era and album. I love every single song on this album. I never ever skip a song. Jump in. Journey is a “road trip” worth taking. You will definitely enjoy the ride with this one. LIGHTS or Winds of March should be your next reaction from this album. It's two songs back to back. Hard to hear one and not expect to hear the other. They do this at least one other time. The song "lovin' touchin' squeezin'", syncs directly into "city of the angels". Arguably you might be able to claim they also do it with "do you recall" and "daydream". Also try "sweet and simple". Beautiful song, and you really hear Steve Perry hit a high one.
