I am so looking forward to making this torte Stephanie. I've been diagnosed as prediabetic and flour, bread, cakes etc are a real problem for me now, and don't get me wrong, so is sugar! But now and again I have to have a treat because I have to live the rest of my life with restrictions...and this is my treat from now on! It will be so worth waiting for! Stephanie, Have you ever added dark roast, instant coffee to this recipe? Coffee greatly enhances chocolate. Also, Caster Sugar, which can be made in a food processor from regular granulated sugar, is a great way to sweeten.

Yes, let it come to room temperature before covering and storing. You can use plastic wrap or place in an airtight container.

You could cover the cake with plastic wrap or put it in a large covered container. If you half the recipe the baking time would depend on what size pan you use.

Hi Stephanie! I would like to request a video of how you store and/or freeze your baked products. For example, in your Simple Coconut Bread video, you said you put parchment paper between slices when you freeze, but do you then stack them or individually wrap them , etc.? Actually, you can even just show what you have in the freezer! 😂 @joyofbaking

You could cut and wrap the slices individually. But I just slice the loaf, put a piece of parchment or wax paper between the slices, and the cover and freeze the whole loaf.

It depends on the recipe whether oil or butter is used. Oil gives a different texture than butter.
