It was fun and we had freedom since the supervisor hated his job and always left early. But it got bad when flirtation happened because the jealousy followed. And yes when women are the majority in the situation, they will fight over the men just like how men would if the roles were reversed. It was flattering but also a disaster at the end of the day

30 years in the entertainment industry and I have seen with my own eyes that some men are relieved when a woman joins the "team". There are men that get sick of looking and dealing with other men all day long, week after week, year after year. There are variations in personalities among men. Some guys like being aggressive and fucking with each other talking shit, talking locker room. Not all guys like that or want to be around that. Some guys just want to do their job un harassed by other smart ass aggressive guys. No all women like to gossip, not all women want to analyze relationships to death, not all women like being in groups of other women. There is variation in personalities among women. That is what people mean when they say men and women are the same. There are stereotypes in both groups but there are also many individuals who do not fit anything like what Joe and Michelle were describing.

Michelle Peacock I think it’s lazy to assume that there are large groups of people that believe men and women - insofar as the physical bodies of a female and male human - possess equal capabilities. A lot of men got nervous when a girl they like is around, it is not necessary to be a bad thing as well...More of the guys who are ultra-confident with women don't actually feel anything special about the woman and just trying to get into her pants, and they are confident cause they tried THIS thousand times. The fucked up is actually that women like you are in hurry to judge and even insult who is confident and who is not, and at the end of the day, they made sex with hundreds of strangers and still no serious relationship and still single.

I think when *the majority* of women say “We’re the same as men” , they say it to mean, “Our worth is the same as men”. And differentiating that between “we’re the same as men” is super important.
@yes-gm5ts4 жыл бұрын
Alas, that distinction is rarely made, because a great many academic and mainstream feminists actually believe that there are no inherent differences between men and women, and that all gender differences are due to social conditioning, and that biology or hormones do not play a part.
@autumntaco87223 жыл бұрын
Yep, and I do believe, on a behavioral level, men and women are more alike than they are different. Now, the differences are stark, and maybe that's why they're exaggerated, but in my experience both sexes are pretty predictable in the same ways. People act like we're separate species when we aren't. Humans are sexually dimorphic, but we're also all humans. Frankly, in my experience, the ones that treat men and women as separate species tend to have divorced parents. That's purely anecdotal, of course, but really paints a picture.
@BacterialCultureMedia2 жыл бұрын
But by insinuating a need to clarify as much, we imply that there was even a question, and, perhaps more significantly, women stating this or asserting it sound as though they are trying to convince themselves out a of a complex, and it almost sounds like a nervously-repeated mantra, or a need for reassurance, or a concern that others don't see your worth, which means that it is not on a stable foundation, or that you are otherwise not sure of it!! ..just a morsel for thought..

It's so ridiculous. Some guys can make leud and very suggestive comments in the workplace and nothing happens to them. I've been hit with an HR case for telling a female coworker that I was friends with that I liked her new hairstyle. Another time I got nearly fired for telling a female coworker that I liked her shoes, I had no interest in her, they were just really cool shoes. The biggest kicker for me was when my manager told me that I smiled too much and it made people feel uncomfortable. He literally told me not to smile so much. I was so shocked I didn't even ask if he could legally tell me to do that. So then I stopped smiling and got pulled into the office and told that I was too serious and it made people feel uncomfortable. I think the universe just doesn't want me to have a job.

Being a man and treating a wiman right takes work. It takes effort and it requires him to remain emotionally stable and grounded. Men are supposed to be gentleman. When men are working amongst other people doing a job there is already stress. Now when you bring a wman into the picture who has needs and a way she is supposed to he treated, the stress mounts. Both m and w have different stress responses that oppose one another and it become toxic, dark and sad very quickly. Relationships between m and f are sacred and fragile. But when a man is dealt with the responsibility of dealing with other men, then add multiple women to the situation it is a mess and burdensome. Stress does not do good things for either. Wmn absolutely deserve the ability to make their own money but we need to go back to having jobs typically made for each gndr. They are absolutely not meant to work together. To be quite honest, things were generally clicking along just fine for about 40 years regarding how men and women interacted in the office. If you asked a person out and they said no, you dropped it. If you persisted then you took it to HR. And it's been generations since claims of workplace harassment have not been taken seriously in the workplace, contrary to how those decades have been portrayed in popular culture. Thanks to that, we have an entire generation (or two) of people who honestly believe we were swatting women on the ass in the 80s like it was nothing and that women were regularly walking into police stations claiming they were raped and the police ignored them.

Then there's the guys who do stuff for them but never get to fuck them or flirt with the, so they're butthurt, but will jump at every occasion to help them, just for a little chat. Then there's the guys who flirt and fuck the women at Christmas parties and team buildings.
