Hi guys, I wanna start by saying how awesome this video is. I felt as if you were talking to me. All the tips you give to beginners are SO SUPER important cause about 5 months ago I saw another video on jumping rope, but the person didn't go through the right way of doing it, such as the posture, the speed and how to hold the rope. So I followed this youtuber and ended up with a injure in my lower back having to take meds and do physio therapy. So, jumping rope is a serious business. My orthopedist was the one who actually recommended your channel. So now I know I'm in good hands. I'm 1,76cm tall and I weight 76kg. I feel tired all the time, no enthusiasm and into deep depression because I'm going through chemotherapy. I have a brain malignant tumor. My oncologists recommended me to jump rope with low impact just like you show on this video. They say it will help improve dopamine, serotonin and the neurotransmitters that you all know. Well, I've been sick for a long time and despite of what I was told, I'm still alive. I apologize for such a long message, but I wanted you to know that, by watching this video today, I got inspired to get up this bed and go jump my rope now the right way. Maybe you guys will never read my comment, but if you do, know you are helping a person like me, fighting a rare cancer. Thanks a lot God bless. By the way, my name is Raquel and I'm from Sao Paulo.

Works great if anyone needs an alternative that will last a good while. 👌🏼

as a beginner i’m definitely guilty of the double jump! why is it important to have only 1 jump per swing of the rope? my thought is that i’d burn more calories by doing 2 jumps every time?
@JumpRopeDudes6 жыл бұрын
Kristin Nicole - you'll never jump quickly. if you are doing two jumps per swing you'll never be able to go fast and bring the intensity.
@bluesteel78745 жыл бұрын
I also double jump. Been jumping since childhood. The "double jump" is a good way to develop timing and rithym and I can easily transition to fast singles and back to relaxed double. The thing is the second jump, the double, is slightly lower than the first and is just there to extinguish the initial impact using the elastisity of the muscles then initiating a new jump at the third. Think of the second as a gather. It makes doing combinations also more fun, at least for me.

Jump Rope Dudes I want to thank you! My life literally just changed tonight! I can f'n jump rope! I wanted to incorporate jumping rope into my work out. Jump rope dudes convinced me of this. I went and bought a cheap ass speed rope and my lack of coordination reared its ugly head. After two weeks nothing was getting better. Yeah it's that bad. I took your advice and ordered myself the get lean set from Crossrope. It finally arrived today. I finished my regular workout and went to finish with rope. I put the half pound on the handles. I f'n jumped rope! I am 51 years old and I can honestly say I jumped rope for the first time today. In a 10 minute session I tripped up 3 times. It's a miracle!!! Haha! Anyway thank you! Great video about basics, guys. I like it. BTW, for those asking about Crossrope: JRD is *not* Crossrope, Crossrope is just a sponsor. Shipping questions should be directed to Crossrope, not JRD. And just like any other rope you use, if you don't take care of it (including Crossrope) it wears fast. Crossrope is not *invincible* but it is the *best, most durable* rope on the market. Lasts longest out of all other ropes if *taken care of properly.* If you can't get it, use what you have, save for it, or enter into JRD's deals they do every now and then to get one for free. Cheers, I said a mouthful.

Hi Dan & Jump Rope Dudes Team, this is Philip and I'm from Malaysia. Been following your channel for a while now and man I got to say this video was truly helpful for me. I'm 40 years old this year and unfortunately I did not know how to jump rope before nor knowing what was the benefits of it. Due to the stay home order now, what better time to learn up this skill which I've been always wanted to learn but never did. This detail video really showed me what I was doing wrong and perfect my posture, my rhythm and bounce. I managed to fix these issues and get my rhythm now through hard work and practice. I'm also using a heavier jump rope like you said and finally I'm glad to say I can jump rope now. Next is to perfect the basics further and learn some nifty tricks (of course the overall goal is to lose weight by doing it) and have fun. Thanks for this video and keep doing what you guys are doing...DoTheThing!

These guys talk absolute sense, and will defo recommend their videos to my friends! I’m quite a fit individual (badminton and cycling) but struggled with jump rope until seeing these guys! I never jumped rope (we say skipping rope in the U.K.) at school and therefore made myself look an absolute fool as an adult. However, practice certainly repeated rewards. It’s frustrating as hell but you’ll soon see benefits within a short period of time. One thing I must say is that my performance is really inconsistent - some days I can go for an hour (sets of 100/60-80 seconds) without making a single error whereas other days I can barely manage 10 revolutions without stepping on the rope. I’m still very new to jump rope but I honestly can’t understand why this is happening when I use the same technique.

Just picked up a jump rope yesterday night, did a quick 20 minute workout, my feet were hurting like crazy! But today I took a bit of advice, and the only pain I have is my calves being completely sore! Thanks yall!

Killians_arts - doing too much tooo soon is a killer. ease on in... 20 mins may not sound like much, but your body is reminding you "It IS!" Reduce your volume, stretch at night and ease on in.

Its my bday soon & personally id love to rock your new tees especially while im doing the thing, anyways love the video it doesnt matter if yous have already done the same video several times, I know I would wanna do better video’s and add more to what I previously had, I guess its all about what yall think sounds good to everyone else but hey, no one else does a better job then you guys defs appreciate the love you have for this so other people can gain more knowledge about this like I did myself. I’ve never bought a skipping rope worth more then my clothes and guarded it with my life like it was a iPhone or computer lol legit love my cross rope and its because of you guys that keep me motivated consistently. Cant wait to see all the merch! Aloha from Australia, Brisbane 🤗❤️

I got the Crossrope for myself for Christmas and wow! I feel the difference. I will purchase the mat on the next paycheck. I did the double jump my first day... I learned real quick not to do that again. I am on day 4 of jumping and surprised at how much I have improved already; my body feels good.

I used to be so good at this when I was a kid but now I can't do it more than 10 times and they are all double jumps. I do jumping rope for weight loss. How long per day do you recommend?
@JumpRopeDudes5 жыл бұрын
bahar ta - you've gotta recognize your ability and stay inside your bounds or else you could get hurt. add a little time each day. Check out these: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3ullIyVicadipI
