I like the socket rail idea! Great set up 👍. I always take a large prybar n my Thor's hammer. If I got to the walk around yards I have an old us Army bookbag I got from a yard sale for $5. During hot weather a camel pak. Stay hydrated and safe. Junk yards are also dangerous.

Just bought a 98 blazer to get aroumd in the winter. Went to pick a part and they had like 12 on the lot. Nothing cheaper or easier the chevy

Nice little kit, I'd probably suggest a hammer and a hacksaw. They're probably the only things I'd keep in too. I tool for heavy hitting and a I tool for brutal hacking (like handbrake cableS)

Just because you do not need it or want it, that does not mean it is not valuable to somebody else. Do not just cut a wiring harness when it is very simple to just unplug the connector. It may take a few extra minutes, but it may help out the next guy. A wiring harness could be very valuable to somebody that needs it. Think about that, and be kind to the next guy.

Metric vs. SAE - Not exactly an accurate statement that foreign cars are metric and USA are obviously SAE... Not so, all new cars after the administration of Jimmy Carter, he instituted the Metric rule for all new manufacturers (including the Automotive industry) that fasteners HAVE to be Metric. So, unless you are scavenging for parts for cars older than 1976, you only need Metric.
