One of the best CSN's song ever. It's amazing how Graham wrote that song. He was in a hurry to catch a plane and a friend of his bet him that he couldn't write a song in such short time. And of course he was wrong.. it took Graham 15 min to write this song!

I saw them twice at the same venue 2 years apart and what a difference made in 1985 they were hurried and not good in 1987 amazing. A 2 1/2 hour show of nothing but CSN.

He was in a really bad way at this time his brothers carried him through a lot of these shows also probably figured he was not being heard all that well with the acoustic so the guitar tech gave him his guitar for the next song and he ended up finishing it out with the electric in his hand or it may of been a mess up and they just played it offf like it was part of the show idk just guessing TJ P

I agree this song IS great and is CSN(Y)'s highest chart topper (#7). But Graham is at least 35 years old here. He was born in 1942- and was 31 years old in 1973 when he released Wild Tales. He is 67 today and only surpassed in age by Crosby who is 68.

@dannyd1572 Overdubbing WAS practiced by all of the groups you mentioned. It was and continues to be a common engineering technique to make vocals sound fuller on recordings. I am a practicing musician, and have had years of studio experience. i can tell you with certainty, that all groups overdub vocals. The song I mentioned was just one example. If you listen to any Beatles song, what they were doing IS harmony -by the strictest definition.

@dannyd1572 You're not really saying that REO Speedwagon had better harmonies than the Beatles are you? What an absurd thing to write. The Beatles brought harmonies into pop/rock and roll - and made it mainstream. Before them, groups weren't doing two or three part harmonies. Don't believe me? Do some research of your own...Listen to "Because." Not just 3 part, but overdubbed in the studio to make a total of 9 (thats right-9) voicings - incredible.
