I love the lore in Just Dance 😭 I stopped playing JD during Sophomore year of high school, but I used to play it all the time. I stopped because I didn’t want people to make fun of me for it. But the new characters in JD 2023, specifically Jack Rose, have really helped me get back into the games.

Also while most of this is just speculation you can learn the lore on singular maps on some just dance channels, some storylines are surprisingly good

Fun fact: Dance Central, the full-body motion controlled dance game for the Xbox Kinect had practically the _exact same_ storyline over a *_decade ago._* You had characters traveling through time to learn dance moves from the past fifty years in order to fight the mind-controlled dancer army of a villainous perfectionist. I get why people prefer JD over DC-in DC you actually have to dance well and move your while body, while in JD you just wave a stick around like a Disney Channel bumper. JD is just easier and lazier. But man is it pathetic that they had to copy DC's story just to keep hold of people's attention.

Game Theory is definitely not the best source of information about Just Dance lore, since they missed a lot of stuff, for example they missed whole danceverse from JD2020 which right now is very important in the lore. Littlesiha and Astylia are way better at this, since Just Dance is their passion for many years.

I didnt watch it yet (and don't have the nerves to do now because I don't know if you will say shit) but no, it's not ridiculous. For a family dancing game, the lore is GREAT. It's outstanding how good it is for a game that was firstly just for dancing. I never thought about lore in Just Dance and if somebody asked me how it could look like I wouldn't be surprised about the idea but also wouldn't have any good ideas, I guess. They formed a WHOLE WORLD, the ten Danceverses, around just that game!! With real characters and connectings that make sense, a story that is interesting and still features dancing as the main thing, and it's watchable for all ages. When I found out a month ago that Just Dance has lore, and how it improved on general, I play since I'm a kid but stopped when I grew older and got responsipilites lol, I was shocked how gooood it is and now I'm part of the fandom and play it literally everyday. That's what I definitely wanted to say no matter what you will say, maybe I will watch it.. Someday.. Lol
