I can't get over how amazing all of the white doors, windows and shutters are looking around the convent....everything is looking so pristine!! Well done Rick!! The community must be very impressed with all of the work you have been doing Billy.....fabulous! It is so nice to see of the detail work that Sean has been doing too to finish off the kitchen. Looking good "team Billy". Cheers!

Every day I am amazed at how much work you all have accomplished. It seems like you just bought this convent and the outside is beautiful. The gardens have been cleared. You have apartments being renovated, Your office is move in ready, the kitchen is functioning, the bell tower is soon to be belled… I could go on and on. I am very much looking forward to your winter progress and especially the spring magic that will happen in your huge gardens/park.

That shot of you walking down the hallway to do today’s sink trap really highlighted the incredible difference between the restored office area and the areas that haven’t been touched yet. Also, I like the color of the couch and chair in the office area. It’s really coming together!

Right now here at the lake it is 77° Fahrenheit I am going to have to remember how to do things differently like measuring and temperatures. Also with a little bit of ingenuity those sinks would make great bird baths for the garden..Tiled and rocks place in them on a stand.

It doesn't matter where we live in the world if your not acclimated to the temperature it's uncomfortable Brrr. Love it when the Electrician gets so tickled at Ryan when he says he loves him lol Don't change Ryan - love everyone. I'm really excited about the Bell, can't wait to see it all assembled. Those beams bolted together for that short of a width should be more than overkill for strength, it's more than some of the existing beams holding much more weight. Sean and Rick are like magicians, don't look tired at all and have done the work of 20 men.

What a difference the white paint makes. Typically in the northeast USA we would be having temperatures in the 20’s and 30’s Fahrenheit this time of year, but instead we are in the 40’s and 50’s. I love the snow and everything winter around the holidays but this year with heating fuel prices so high, I’m happy to have the milder temperatures. Anyway, I always enjoy your videos. xx

it would be such an amazing surprise for the town people to hear the sound of the convent bell on a Christmas day after it's been silenced for a very long time. But safety comes first - whenever you feel the bell is ready and safely put in place. XO
@elisabethhopson56392 жыл бұрын
When the bell is installed, can we have a dedication ceremony? Bells are highly symbolic, so the town will want to know that the bell is ready. It is like the voice of the convent returning. Can't wait for this.🔔🎵🔔🎵🔔🎵

Well done for keeping going on such a cold day. I'd be tempted to use it for "Planning" and "List making" - anything to stay in a warm room with a hot drink and not move. Our church bell was fixed in place with the rope attached to the clapper because the motion of the swinging bell was destabilising the tower. It's not just about being strong enough to keep hold of the bell.

Everything is looking fantastic. The floors,the painted doors and walls, and all. What really worries me about the bell is how you are going to get it up to its home in a safe way that doesn't endanger anyone. It's more than 120 pounds per person for two to lift and there's no room for two people to get it up there. Plus it's way too high and just not safe. I'm not trying to be pushy but it just seems unsafe unless someone comes in with a heavy duty winch and cherry picker. And a system where whomever is up there is also belted onto something strong so they can't fall.💗

Perceived coldness depends on what you're acclimated to. 28F (-2C) is considered balmy this time of year in Fargo, North Dakota. You will see people in shorts. It has to be 5 or 10 below zero (below -20C) before people would say it's really cold. ☃

this pre christmas weather has been very mild, all above 0*c ranging from +3 - to a balmy +10 here in toronto. its post christmas weather is when we get hammered with the real cold, january and feburary, are usually the coldest months of the year, where the temps hover around -15c to -7c but thats just the toronto region as you head towards newmarket towards barrie and orillia, thats where the temps really kick in, the ottawa valley, gets even colder, and quebec (kebec ) and the prairies are insanely cold, its a great time to store you booze outside, but only a short period of time for your beer though many a time i have put a brew in the snow and forgot about and found them the next day with popped seals and one or two that exploded from the cold, woooo hooo good times, lol
