I feel like when justice league did come out originally, everyone went soft on it due to not realizing the full story, and feeling bad for snyder and what happened with his family. But as time went on, and Snyder revealed he did have his own Snyder cut, and how joss whedon and Geoff Johns hacked his film up, everyone now pretty much has denounced the threatical version as probably one of the worst DC movies of all time. People might want to rewatch Jonah Hex or Catwoman over this film.

I like both Marvel and DC equally, but for different reasons. Marvel consists of the heroes you'd probably be if you got powers. DC consists of the heroes you should aspire to be like whether you have powers or not. If they did get Superman right this time, than I hope the DC universe returns to being Superman inspired rather than being 'angry' Batman inspired. I think that's what has angered most of the comics community and is the reason why people feel like Wonder Woman was such a step in the right direction.

I finally saw Justice League and I really liked it! The first really good DCEU movie. And I'm more Marvel than DC fan. :) All characters were awesome, even Superman so butchered by Snyder in MoS and BvS was great. Ezra Miller rulez as Flash, it's unbelievable what he can do with his face expressions. :D Aquaman is cool too. CGI of "demon lava" was not good and running Flash sometimes made robot moves (he really doesn't know how to run, but I wouldn't say it's Ezra's fault, it's CGI fault I think), but otherwise ok. Villain and story ok for origin story of JL. Grace is just SJW and I'm sad for her for that...

Grace, I loved Wonder Woman and have always been a fan of hers. I thought she was depicted fairly well in the movie but I agree Patty Jenkins had a better handle on her character. In JL, It made sense that she led most of the fight scenes and acted as a mentor to Cyborg. I enjoyed her fighting skills, however, the repeated butt shots pissed me off as well as the inconsistency with her hair. It would go from very puffy and voluminous to flat and recently curled lol--a minor remark but it stood out to me every time.

Dave Curry thats the thing with the hair. The ladies gotta have the good hair so it stands out to the rest of us when its different in a scene. Especially if the next immediate scene its different then back to how it was again. It really grating when the lady is all dolled up but the scene is being tossed around in the dirt or fighting. Her face comes out fine like she just a free makeover at sephora.

We need a petition for Warner to release a "Snyder Cut" on Blue-Ray! I really want to see the difference because no matter how much people bashed his vision, it was still a vision and a solid one with a grim tone. Anytime Grace or any other woman complains about the butt shots of Gadot in JL, ask her if she also minded the shirtless shots of Bale's Batman, Affleck's Batman, Thor, Captain America, Ironman, etc. I guarantee the answer is no. I don't agree with your point about Wonder Woman's 'objectification'. There were just as many shots of Aquaman or Superman's glistening chest that were equally as objectifying. I think this was the most mediocre superhero movie I've ever seen. Nothing in this movie was bad, nothing was great. There weren't too many jokes, but yeah the jokes that were there were a mixed bag. The tone was neutral, not dark, not light. It does not feel like a marvel film if that is what you're worried about. Ezra's running was distracting I agree with that. The movie was rushed and that's what killed it, it is exactly what I thought it would be, meh.

I think marvel has numbed you to what a superhero movie actually is. This movie opened up picking up from the dark and progressively becoming more hopeful as the heros got into action because that’s what hero’s are suppose to do. The function of the jokes was to alleviate some of the overarching gravity of the story for the characters and audience to help move it forward in story. In marvel they’re meant to emphasize a lighter tone but it can be distracting. Could you explain how the movie was rushed?

kaledov I found the first half of the movie really rushed. Right from the beginning we see Batman fight a parademon. I wasn’t expecting that in the opening of the movie. Maybe that can be narrowed down to WB pushing for the 2 hour runtime but I just found it really jarring. We were also introduced to 3 JL members one after the other without a whole lot of characterisation. Sure we got maybe a couple of minutes of what makes each of them tick but it wasn’t enough to resonate with me. To me it was pretty much ‘this is Aquaman, he’s a bit of a loner. This is Flash, he’s witty and fast. This is Cyborg, he thinks he’s a monster.’ Maybe it’s because it may have benefitted from doing their solo movies first before doing Justice League so we can actually connect with the characters a lot more. I’m intrigued if there will be an extended cut because maybe that will fix the rushed issue, but this film still had some other issues.

It’s how the story started plus some people may think it’s better not to overrun the movie with to much alternate mythos that has nothing to with the present story of the movie. Plus this movie did a good job paying off BVS so the solos will make up for it.

Mr. Whedon was hired on to "Justice League" to sew together a story out of what was previously shot. He was NOT brought on to "lighten things up" or as a joke writer. That mandate came from WB after "BvS" did not go over as large as they wanted. Mr. Snyder, for all his vision, tends to create story in the editing room, emphasizing moments over scenes. This proved a less that successful rough cut screened after principle shooting on JL wrapped. WB will probably never reveal who contributed what - but don't assume Whedon's input was the "fun stuff". He was recruited due to how well he put together the "Avengers" films. It was for storytelling strengths, not one-liners, that the film needed him.

If you're any kind of DC fan, you'd know that DC character interactions had always included one-liners and bantering, from comics to the animated films. Even during splash panel action scenes there are DC characters making quips. Don't act like zero humour is the correct way to go or that you're so mature for disliking humour. If you think comic book films shouldn't have humour, then you don't know a thing about comics.

Vino sitas Look, I loved Thor: Ragnarok. What I mean is a character like Thor who was most of the time serious in previous films but was turned into a comedian in Ragnarok out of nowhere is fine? But a character like The Flash who is known to be a joker and sometimes silly is apparently a negative? Hey Grace, Do you know if Whedon brought his own VFX team for Justice League? because the CGI in Justice League does not even compare to Man of Steel or BvS. I have to say this that here in Australia people weren't aware of the end credit scenes so when the first one came up people started to leave but just in time saw it but the credits were so long to the last one and I even told a couple to stay but the credits went on forever everyone left cinema and it was empty by the time the villain scene came up. Me and mum were the only ones left and the lights came up before the scene and a women was starting to clean. We loved the last scene so it upset me people didn't see it.

I will never let anybody tell me how good or how bad the movie was. The judge of movies is going to be me. I remember his back then people would say oh that movie was horrible don't watch it & I wouldn't cause I would take their advice until I started seeing them and boy was I ever wrong cause they have turn out to be some of my favorites I laugh when I look at reviews and see a bunch of dumb followers saying oh thank you now I'm not gonna see it I always laugh cause their fucking dumb as shit. Like I said if they didn't like it, sucks for you. I love DC & I love Marvel I loved the fact that I grew up watching both and liking both. I hate fan boys and for some weird reason marvel fan boys are being Annoying af with this movie. I laughed so hard when a marvel fan boy told me to not waste my time after I was done laughing I said damn it sucks to be you. Go cry to your mama. Smh have a coke and a smile and shut the fuck up. I will wait to comment on the film after I've seen it Thursday (part of the WW / JL double feature showing I'm going to... so cool WB organized this!) But I've already listened to the soundtrack album and want to point out something about Danny Elfman's use of previous themes. While you didn't mention it (perhaps it didn't ring a bell for you?) Elfman uses a variation on his main theme from 1992's Hulk movie a lot. I was very surprised when I heard this unmistakable repeating pattern theme... and I'm really hope to learn some day why he did that (when I would think this film deserved something original... not a retread of an admittedly very striking theme). In case you haven't heard the Hulk theme in a while, here's a link.. I understand what you mean about the flash thing and his running. The only comment I can make on that is that it was slowed down so it looked weird but also was flash ever really confirmed as a professional sprinter or anything ? We all know he runs fast but could it be possible he just runs so fast we never noticed he actually had bad form or something. I find with a lot of speedster type characters they just know how to run upon getting their powers but very rarely if ever are we shown them learning proper form and stuff

The whole “he doesn’t know how to run” thing is stupid. He’s an amazing Flash. I kinda think only true fans of Flash will appreciate Ezra’s take on it. I sure did. All his jokes got a lot of laughs. I do agree with a bit of what she said about Wonder Woman in that her character has taken 1 step backward. There are definitely some things that were not so great in the film, including the pacing at the beginning. But overall, 8/10.

By Grace's tone you can tell that she didn't like the movie regardless of what she said. The positives were all about opening scenes of the characters after which she pointed out several things she hated. These characters are too epic for the movie to fail. I finally saw the film and what you say about The Flash running... it looked like ice skating to me. Which is in line with what he says about doing competitive ice dancing. I haven't really considered the full physics, but perhaps he feels less friction so he has to run like he's on ice. Or maybe it was a rainy evening.
