It may not change anything but try tightening the pinch bolts after the weight is back on the suspension

Justin. I think the problem has something to do with the turning radius of these trucks. They turn so sharp and only have 1 steering box. I think it is putting lots of weird side load on these pins. The design isn't good but I think this contributes to it. The trucks that wear out faster.... do they turn more when loaded?

18-20k+ front axles usually don't have single steering boxs . Thats light duty OTR shit ,single steering boxs, same with single frame trucks. Idc how thick the heavy single frame is, its garbage vs a double

Plus these trucks don't turn sharp, look how long they are! Probably what's beating them up are the Dummy drivers who crank the steering wheel back n forth while not rolling. That just kills steering and front suspension parts. Specially if he's got women drivers and half breeds behind the wheel

drill the shackle with a small hole and on the outside put in a grease zert to lube those crap bushing, no way grease can get to the adapter the way its designed currently.

96k on those bushings, thats not bad. I bet lack of weekly grease and bad drivers who constantly crank the wheel back n forth sitting still will do that to any brand truck. Specially if its a set back axle truck. Those are even harder on bushings

I’d seriously look into seeing if you can put different mount and springs in there if the same capacity, by using part numbers from a different truck. I don’t know how well things would line up, but I’d imagine springs lengths and such would be pretty close. You need to file a complaint with the NHTSA, if you don’t fix this defect it could cause poor handling, loss of steering, eventually leading to the potential for a crash. I just plagiarized how most recalls are written. This is absurd to see this. Imagine if you were an owner operator and you were the only one driving it, and had to rely on a shop to do this for you time after time. Even worse, imagine how many window lickers are driving around without repairing it. Has this cause an accident for anyone else?

The pin wouldn’t screw in and out without a single issue if there was a lack of grease bc it would be slap warn out and nothing left or welded together. There stupid. To a point that a tool manufacturer makes a tool for the job which shows it’s a issue clearly nonetheless 🤣 there just doing typical dodge shit and know there is a problem but there is no fix for it. My cousin bought a brand new dodge van for his wife, fully loaded. Top of the line from them. 2 weeks pass the back windows stopped working. He takes it in for warranty and all they can do is tell him not to use them anymore bc there is no fix for the problem 🤣🤣🤣
