My favorite track from Rose Royce and a classic scene song from the movie Car Wash. Mary J Blige covered this song. Cam'ron sampled this song in his classic song Oh Boy- your Spidey sample senses should have been tingling right when this song began. One day you will finally watch the movie Car Wash and then wonder why did I wait so long to watch this great movie...lol

Thanks for reviewing the band Rose Royce, which featured both a male and female vocalist, depending on the song. You should next check out "Car Wash", "I Wanna Get Next To You" and "Wishing On A Star." "Do Your Dance" (long version) is also a nice track from the band. The group Starguard, who had the same producer and did the theme song from the movie "Which Way Is Up" had a similar sound For the record, Rose Royce's songs were clean so you can relax in that department!

Ms Gwen Dickey sang this song like no one else could ever do . The only version that matters in my opinion.

Rose Royce is a group. The female lead singer name wasn’t Rose. But they had her say it was as a way to promote the music/band.

The original version is far superior than any remake. Check out “Golden Touch”, “I Wanna Get Next To You”, “Wishing On A Star” by this group, also check out the instrumental version of “Wishing On A Star” by Junior Walker (great hidden gem).
