Yeah, it kind of can be...lol... anxiety disorder isn't just nervousness. Anxiety disorders are completely different from someone just being anxious or having a little anxiety. It's not just "I'm too anxious to talk to new people" or "I'm anxious because I have to present a speech." It's usually something the person knows is irrational but their brain can't get over it because it can stem from something deeply rooted. Sometimes, medication is required because it can get that debilitating. Not all disabilities are physical, visible, or obvious to you. If she was able to get that recognized, it must be pretty serious because it's not the easiest thing getting on disability- even if it's visibly obvious that you are handicapped. And it's even harder for mental disabilities/illnesses. Not everyone with anxiety has it to that degree and they wouldn't just give it to her if her anxiety is as mild as you're probably assuming lol. It's not like getting a marijuana card. This is like acting like depression is just sadness and saying something like, "I love how there's medication for depression these days."
