Yeah some current comics are so bad. I have to wonder if any of them have a basic understanding of writing. I seen people have not written thing in their life and just watch stuff on the tv and they have a better understanding of story writing then a lot of so called comic writers. That and editors seem to not exist at all.

@RocketSurgeon Yeah given objective good writing or something being good from a objective stand point doesn't seem to exist. Depending on who you ask. Which normally the case is they throw out the finish product and switch to talking about a lot of what ifs or tropes use by theirselves. When the finish product is a far different thing from talking about a single trope or two on it's own. Given you can then look at everything that was done in the book. Then nod and say yeah this is what happen. Given stories play out the same way each and everytime in a comic. Yet somehow, you will always come across that person or two who seems to not understand you can break down and look at how well a story is told by studying how well the pieces fit together with one another.

Judging by the first panel, Kwanza's universe clearly exists in a dystopian world where most of Los Angeles has been engulfed by a landslide or sandstorm, submerging the streets and its inhabitants while leaving only the skyscrapers to break the surface. Either that, or the artist needs to give a refund.

Actually it seems that Kwanzer and Mags shot themselves in the foot with the DMCA claims ... because they are pretty frivolous and Zack is ready to go to court over it which they will lose and will have to pay legal fees over it. So they WILL have to pay a steep price (unless they back down NOW). Oh and ... - Mags doesnt even own the copyright to the stuff she claimed ... its DC(??) AND - Kwanzer is employed by Mark Waid ... which might make this claim an interference in the lawsuit!

I looked at the artists portfolio-and her work isn't bad. But the book is rushed as hell. I feel like someone left her out in the cold rather than giving her direction. That's really sad-wouldn't surprise me if the art turnaround for the book was a lot less because the writer dragged their heels and left her to finish it at the end.

I can't physically look at this video for more than a couple of seconds at a time. I don't have the words to describe how baffled and distressed I am by that art.
