I think k.d.'s purity comes from truth, honesty and compassion. You either have those qualities or you do not. And if you don't, you cannot fake it. There is nothing fake about k.d. lang. She makes me proud to be an Albertan..! Love her..!!!

She's a great artist and deserves all the recognition possible. The harping on her sexuality is surely unnecessary. It always seems odd to me that people spend time mulling over the private life of artists. Rather like/dislike them for their artistic output - but leave them some privacy. A wish fulfilled immediately gives birth to another. And so it should, othetwise we stagnate.

2024...I find this interview ironic seeing the vast differences in Whoopi compared to k.d. The world, and myself, needs the sincere, the genuine, the honest of k.d. I am thankful she's stayed the course throughout.
