It never worried me, I was bought up semi nudist, no adults ever acted sexually around me that I noticed. I am from NSW in Australia my parents never took me to the gay and lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney so I don’t know if I would have been traumatised (they apparently had a lot of more pornographic stuff when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s it was pretty much the only time people could show their kinks anywhere so they took advantage of it.) But if you were to take your kids to the current Mardi Gras in Sydney they may wonder why there are people in animal suits and or lashed to poles with people with whips nearby but it is just a street performance. If you have trained your children to be afraid of nudity I can still see it being a problem but the really risqué stuff isn’t there anymore

I lived in a third world country all my life, it’s way too common for sex shops to expose their products out in the open despite it being prohibited (because some didn’t have money to but a store). Since I was a kid I saw a massive pink dildo and found it massively funny because I was old enough to know what a penis is but too young to know what it’s used for. It didn’t traumatize me, didn’t sexualize me or make me prone to be abused. It is weird indeed for adults to see children exposed to those stuffs because we understand the malice, it’s also weird for us adults to see other adults wearing kink outfits in front of children because we immediately assume they’re having sexual intentions, even if they don’t. I’m not defending kink at pride, I’m just giving a different perspective

The claim is: kink and sensuality, the act of making something sexual, is an institutional norm of the dominant institutions, and free of those norms and regulations, there is nothing inherently sexual about the things that are deemed immoral or sexual by normative standards. I remember when i came out in 2000 and went to my first gay club. It was like ANY OTHER CLUB I'd ever been to. Pool cables, karaoke, darts, music, etc. Only thing different is it had men kissing men and women kissing women. There wasnt nudity or porn and the few trans women i encountered weren't political activists. Now I cringe at the sight of these gay clubs. I am lucky in that I have been with my partner for 13 years cuz I cant even imagine the dating scene now. I left the Democrat party in 2016. I had been a Clinton supporter but couldn't deny the bad things she had done. Trump won me over after the Pulse nightclub massacre. He was the only one promising gays that he would stop Sharia law. Depends where you are, as I understand it in the US if it is for political reasons you can go nude as long as you aren’t being lewd. In some places in the US you can just go nude if you want. Here in Australia anyone can technically go topless (though the police can ask you to stop if you are likely to cause a traffic accident). Most of the places it is actually legal to go nude are on private property though wearing clothes isn’t enforced on a lot of beaches. Nudity its self cannot be traumatic because it was the most common attire for humans till a few hundred years ago it is situational and cultural. Being lewd towards children is likely to be traumatic (especially up close) and is frowned upon in any traditional culture I know of.

I used to work as a Child Protection Investigator. What's crazy is that exposing children to pornographic/sexual activities or media was grounds for having your kids remove or at the very least forced family counseling. Let kids be kids. Why any parent would take their kids to a pride parade is beyond me. All those parents should be investigated too. I would be mortified if my kids saw someone nude in public. And I'm a mom to three kids myself. There is no reason why kids need to learn about sexuality. Teach them to be kind to everyone and love themself. It's a disaster with these kids waiting to happen. And for the police to say it's not sexual gratification, just because someones not touching themselves, doesn't mean they aren't getting off on what they are doing. I am Finnish and last weekend they had a pride parade in Helsinki (the capital city of Finland). I saw photos from there with lots of pride flags and MANY palestinian flags too. No Finnish flags around to be seen though. I was like PLEASEEEEE?? Like if they could actually even choose some "values" which are not totally opposite. I have lived in Israel and also travelled in the West Bank aka the palestinian territory. And I can tell you that 99% of the palestinian population would never accept a gay child or be okay with living next to a gay couple and most of them would be ready to use very violent ways to prevent that happening. So I don't know what pride is these days - or these people attending - but personally I can only call it a big joke!

I was accidentally at a Pride Parade in Glasgow (completely forgot it was on and went shopping with a friend) and there was someone in a dog mask that came from behind me and when I turned to see who was there I was incredibly uncomfortable. Decades back, some Pride protest marches did include families marching together or parents of marchers with younger siblings on the side as support, but there was focused protection on the kids then and a focus on 'we are like everyone else'... somewhere along the line as more acceptance happened and they became less about protesting, that got turned upside down with places putting the toddler bouncy castle next to the bar, being as 'different' as possible, and encouraging children and everyone else as consumers.

If you're an adult, you're supposed to shield kids from adult activities, and protect them from things they aren't emotionally and intellectually mature enough to deal with, even if you're not a parent. Being an adult means you protect the young. The worst, though, was when I got to the "books & comic books" section, as more than half the literature there was about "Queerness" and Israel v Palestine. WTH does "queerness," let alone Israel v Palestine, have to do with being nerdy?? An alarming number of the queerness books were directed at kids, too! I was just there to check out some comic books and look for presents for my brother, instead I got bombarded with wokeness and stared at by SJWs. Yiiiikes Also, thank god I'm not the only one who's noticed they tend to be psychology majors, or at the very least "suuuuper into psychology." Usually, in my experience, it's the latter, and their knowledge doesn't generally scratch much past the surface level...

Becaue those with the same view as you aren't in the power position. All or most LGBT organizations are taken over by TRAs and since this is pushed A LOT of money is put into these organizations like never before. We are sidelined. But the resistance is growing.
