I've got one of their 2" narrowed beams. 2 1/2 " drop spindles , disc brakes and 3/4" sway bar. Love it. Had all the rest of the brakes rebuilt. Car will stop on a dime. Handles great, rides nice. Pretty much the same as in the video, but for a 66 bug. Stock rear suspension. Car sets just the way I wanted. I highly recommend Kaddie Shack.

Years ago, I installed forged drop spindles on the front of my '67 Beetle. When I set it down, the front was about 2" lower than the drop on the spindles were supposed to take it creating clearance issues. took it to alignment shop to true it up. Still have clearance issues. Someone in it's history welded the axle beam to the frame head. What are potential reasons for this unexpected excess lowered stance?

Also, the car has polished 5-spoke empire style wheels with the cheapest stud kit the world has ever known. They've only ever been hand-tightened and 2-3 studs on each wheel have striped threads. What is the highest quality stud/lug kitavailable for stock drums?

empi does not make good parts all OF THE TIME ,,,sometimes they are way too cheaply made , china crap ,,,,and in engineering explanation can you tell me why shimming the front end makes it go straight ?

Shimming the front beam won't make it go straight, it simply helps with return to center by improving the spindle's caster angle which improves driveability.

Let me tell you what a bullshitter this bozo is. He has been charging premium prices for premium shit. I was sold tie rod ends Jeff said were from Italy and charged $24.95. The website says that if he doesnt have the German tie rod ends that you will be sent others of equal quality. I was sold Ocap tie rod ends that Jeff personally stated were made in Italy and mele (Turkish made) miss matched tie rod ends and told both types were premium quality. When I got home I was comparing the differences and found the Ocap seemed unfinished and sloppy, so I went online to research the Ocap company and found they're headquartered in Italy however the manufacturing plant is located in Jiangsu China. I would think that someone who sells premium parts would have his pulse on the products he sells. His sole purpose is to take your money and he will lie, cheat and bullshit in order to get it. Its funny how in his build a beam video he is pushing quality then flip flops trying to sell you on some shitty Empire craps over expensive quality parts. This guy is a fraud
