The woodshed requires trees around to operate properly, if there are no trees left in 50m radius it won't work.

For the food question: It goes by nutrition. Sell what you can and buy flatbread for the best $ per nutrition. Also plant carrots and keep your meat. You can cook stew (35 nutrition 3x carrot and 1 meat) and stock up your food bin.

easiest way to find stone is look on the shoreline of the river. Found a TOn of stone on the northern river bank. Also sold hundreds of stone knives for 21 gold each

if u wanna make easy money go to the town in the middle of Rolnica and Branica and in one of the chests there u can find 15 linen thread then make it into 15 linen fiber worth 28 gold each, if u save after u steal from chest and load the game the chest refills , u can make around 5k gold each time without having inventory space problems , theres also 200 arrows , 5 iron axes 2 bows and other good things in the chests in that city plus its alot of xp in crafting, enjoy .

Right now I have 3 people in my village. I have a wife who just stands in the granary all day, a guy in my hunters lodge who just pulls meat out of thin air (theres usually around 40 meat in the hunter lodge's chest each day) and a woman working my fields. I love the way the npc mechanics work for those. Shes slow for sure, which i assume is because they give you like 10 slots for people in the fields, but she harvested, manuered (without even using my stock of manuer I had in the barns chest??) Plowed the fields, and re-planted what was previously grown in each field. I also love that once they harvest stuff its automatically deposited into the barns chest. You still have to move it over to the granary building but you honestly get so much food from farming, people should never go hungry

@Kage848 Did you know if go to craft anything you can press "R" to make multiples instead of just 1 at a time, like spears, craft 20 instead of 1 at a time, or roasted meat same thing. Some buildings can't be placed too close to water, the text should read "This object can't be placed too close to water." Also you don't need to go to the mine to get stone, the large rocks you think are animals can be mined!

If you're looking for another way to make a bunch of gold, harvest berries when they're ripe. You get at least 2 per bush and they sell for 1 gold each. I made 2k before my first winter.

For money I found the best way is berries in the spring/summer, fall I cook all the food from the farms using stew-meat/carrots, winter you just scrounge the hills for rocks and make a ton of skinning tools that sell for 21 each.

You don't have any trees near your woodshed. Lumberjacks can only get wood within 50m of the woodshed. It says in the building description.

hey kage quick tip if u want to lvlup crafting tech quickly just steal wheat or rye from town about 500-1k then craft grain in barn also u can steal iron tools from gostovia it respawn each season

i dont see how stone is a problem, find one stone look around there is always more around that spot, will suffice for all your current tool needs, as for money making, when you are out hunting collect ALL the herbs ( healing and anti poison ones) using ur herb senses each weigh little to nothing, can be sold for 2 coins , meaning you can get everything a npc has (money wise) and food/leather each hunting run you do.

If you ever get in contact with the devs.....ask for a composte heap...seeing how much plant remain in the field after cabage harrvest...maybe you could use the compost to feed the pigs or use as furtiliser!.....loving the game aswell...even watching it!...it rocks!

The bow takes practice to use. You don't need to draw it all the way back, you need to practice at different ranges and get a feel for it. Once you get the longbow and the recurve the stam drain isn't nearly as bad, but the skills you learn with the basic bow transfer. I exclusively use the bow now, it's so good and the ammo weighs nothing.

@@Pogie33 No, but I can't carry 100 spears. I can carry 100 arrows with 0.5 kilos used. Which means I don't really need to worry about breaking or losing them. 50 iron arrows are only 10 sticks and 10 iron. Dirt cheap.

Something happened after one of the recent updates that prevent us from building in that area by the water. It appears to me the foundation of the building is clipping down through the ground and hitting the water level of the game in that low area. I hope they fix this issues, I'd love to see the ability to raise and lower buildings during placement.

Okay, tested out the workers in my village to see how the woodshed works. In my game, my woodshed is among the forest near my village (I built my village in the forest to begin with, so just picked a spot a little bit out of town). So far, I have tried out a level 4 gatherer in my wood shed and he did 1.6 logs an hour, 4 sticks an hour and 0.8 firewood an hour. The game only showed this statistic when he was working. When he is not working, these statistics do not show up, everything is at 0 production. That might be what you were seeing, Kage, in your game. After I recruited another villager, I swapped her into the wood shed because she is a level 6 gatherer. She produced 2.4 logs an hour, 6 sticks an hour, and 1.2 firewood an hour. My level four gatherer is now gathering feathers for me in the hunter's lodge. I may move him to the barn to gather berries, we'll see. I also stalked my workers to see them actually do this work, and when my logger was chopping at trees, the trees did not fall or disappear. So...not sure what that is about. I would expect to see trees being felled, not still standing after my villager chopped at them. Hmm. As for where these supplies go after they are gathered, I still have not figured that out yet. My storage box in my wood shed still only has an axe in it, untouched. I do not have anyone working in my resource shed, so they are not being gathered and stored there. This might be a glitched game mechanic, I do not know. I will wait a little bit longer, let more days pass and check the storage boxes again.

maybe with it saying it can't be placed on water is because it's in a flood zone that hasn't been implemented yet? lower terrain that gets flooded sometimes but currently it's dry so it makes you think it's land and not water? just a random guess. most likely wrong but thats the best I can think of.

The area you are in has more sticks on the ground than stone. Closer to the mine area there is more stone on the ground than sticks. I think they are crating variety in the map. Something to keep in mind when finding the best town location in future playthroughs.

So a villiager needs 0.6 firewood per hour, but a lumberjack only produces 1 firewood per hour. That means over half your population will need to be lumberjacks just to meet firewood needs. That seems too excessive.
