I was 7-10 years old during the Yugoslavia war. The news were on before the kids tv show I wanted to see each night and sometimes I got pretty traumatized seeing what the situation was like in Sarajevo and the rest of Bosnia. I felt very sad to see this but am happy also to see how life goes on and things are looking better for the people living there.

As of September 2019, Sniper Tower has been cleaned up a lot. You still have to hop the wall to get in, but the rubble and trash has been cleared. Interesting place to visit, and do read up about the history of the place (and Mostar and Bosnia & Herz. in general) before you go. But what a beautiful country to visit!

My husband and I ate at that resultant a few years ago and we still talk about it! It was delicious and only $5 each for a full meal and a beer. We had food leftover and the waitress packed it all up for us and gave us a pile of free bread to eat with it later. It made our day!

You should use a Fuji XP90 while using the skateboards. It is water proof and shock resistant. Mine survived my husband on our last vacation. He has a tendency to ruin cameras when we travel (dropped one in my beer at a baseball game, accidentally threw one in the ocean, dropped one off a cliff, etc...).

I just was in mostar. Honestly, one of my top 3 favourite cities on earth! Everyone should go at least once. The history, architecture, food, people, geography, etc. is truly stunning, and the city has recovered beautifully. Truly would recommend! ❤🇧🇦❤
