Honestly that's impossible! I'm being honest here because let me put it this way "IT'S NOBODY'S FAULT BESIDES KAREN'S!" Honestly there is no absolute way she'll be able to get that money back because there is no way to retrieve that amount of money because that money is long gone. Probably in the savings account or spent on other things. Once they have a legal binding contract stating the situation there is no way of getting that money back

STory 1: You can only be profitting off something if it's still makign you money. SUch as if someone's incident was used for a well selling product then this would apply, such as a book or movie telling the person's tragic story. But Karen had a marriage for at least 3 years the the transaction of payment is long done, the $3,000 likely long since spent.

Story 1: Such irrational and illogical thinking on the part of “Emily” (I got that Corpse Bride reference, haha!). That was five years ago and no fault of the photographer. OP should sue for libel. Story 2: WHY do you let these nasty people in your life, ever!? And there are people who aren’t “on the spectrum” who talk to themselves. Story 3: Honestly, do your best to keep James safe from her. The first story. If we are going by that Karen's logic then the caterer, wedding cake maker, the venue, wedding planner and maybe even the priest should give all the money back to her because her marriage came to an end. At least we have an idea why the husband wanted a divorce.
