In an arrive and drive Karting session you will encounter drivers of different abilities. In this session the POV driver encountered a dirty driver who was driving unfairly and doing dangerous maneuvers. Don't be this guy when you go Karting!

The POV driver is my friend. He is inexperienced and got bullied on track. He should have been more aggressive! If I was driving, it would be tempting to train wreck after the first incident 😂The 'defending driver' eventually got removed from the session and then black listed from the track! Good riddance 😄 EDIT: Watch my analysis here👇 kzbin.infozzKKbAsNiXA

With all respect .. your friend is so way faster that i'm speachless on how naive he was on ALWAYS setting up for the outer side. Once you "read" your opponent is just a matter to setting upa trap,make him going for inside,exit wider and voilà , you have the speed to overtake him and choose the inner line

Simple fix in this case. The driver gave him more than enough opportunity to have an actual race. After so long a simple run from behind to push him to deep into a corner would solve this. Constantly allowing yourself to be beside someone who doesn't want to keep this safe affects everyone. Sending him into a corner to have to become well off pace doesn't. It's the lesser of two evils.

you have to remember that you have responsibility for damage caused to both vehicle and driver. I'm not THAT eager to race if it means possibly wrecking and having to pay for repairing a kart. what I learned with a similar experience is that it's better to only kart when you have a closed session with friends. it's very hard to gather enough people, but paying to get angry and frustrated with some jack*ss strangers? I'd rather not, thanks
@offdabeatz
@offdabeatz 11 ай бұрын
@gustavogoesgomes1863 The method I am speaking of is not to wreck the driver. Simply moving them out of a racing line to have to become off pace. It is up to track officials (if real racing series) to handle this during the race. Here, they obviously didn't care until after. Intentionally wrecking isn't something I ever recommend because it breeds bad techniques that can only lead to serious injury down the line. Moving people, as I stated, a lesser of two evils should still be a last resort. When we are clearly faster, we need to also be smarter about the lines we take.

@@offdabeatz what I wanted to say is that unless you somehow manage to overtake them in a straight and get so far ahead that they can't reach you even in a tight turn, they will "attack" you. even taking a lot of care and looking around me at all times I've got tagged and pushed off track, and I'm sure it would be even worse if I wasn't avoiding them. there was at least three occasions where I was far ahead and I had to open my steering mid corner because the driver behind me was literally coming straight for me. the worst part is that even so, I managed to outrun the bully eventually... wich led me to be stuck behind the next ones. yes, on plural. you don't know how insane things were. I was literally afraid to be near them, and they blocked the track ahead almost all the time. I didn't know how awful a race can be until this day lol

Go karts are entry level to open wheel race cars. In open wheel racing it represents a gentleman’s sport. There exists in every drivers mental picture an imaginable margin around the opponents car that must be respected, otherwise damage and destruction will occur. This leaves the competition to be about ability and smooth control, and respect, not bullying as in the videos example. The driver featured in this video sees it a smash up derby.

I don’t think the other racer understands the concept of good racing and sportsmanship. You’ve certainly been the bigger person by not reacting to it. This was so infuriating to watch, I’m not exactly the cleanest driver in go karts, I cut some corners and am pretty cheeky when it comes to overtaking especially as other people feel they need to slow down a lot more than they need to, to take corners but at this point this guy was just being a prick. Honestly what I would have done is pit manoeuvred him and if it takes us both out of the race I will take that. Even if I was banned from the track I would take that too, and just try to appeal it afterwards if I really enjoyed the Track with the footage you had. Sorry to see your fun be ruined by some self righteous troll jackass. You gotta understand man children like this most likely didn’t get enough attention as a kid so it’s hard for them to admit when someone is truly better than them at something…Was hard to watch as you’re racing lines were very clean throughout the race and I’m sure you would have made a wonderful track time, sucks to see but onto the next!! 👊🏼👊🏼

It seems like he's using the strategy of occupie the inside line in every turn so he can push you out and gain that advantage. Try to run into that inside line so you perform a dive bomb. If you wanna give him what he deserves, a great torpedo will be good (he started this at first)

Next time, briefly slam the brakes when he pushes you off the track. He will eliminate himself because it becomes a PIT maneuvre. The last thing you see of him is when he crosses in front of you while you turn him around. Another way is to use him as a brake, like suggested in other comments. Preferrably on one of his corners.

Thats not a dirty driver. Thats a psychopathic driver. "Our driver unfortunately failed to prepare the overtaking maneuver better. There was a corner where he could have overtaken him despite that, but he always went to the inside before, only to have to go to the outside and be at a disadvantage. There he would have had to do it the other way around, damn

Why not bump him under braking so he whashes out wide and you are free to go. I go to 6h endurance and have seen the nudge often when someone is trying overly agreasive to defend. But also, never have I seen such an idiot. He runs you wide each time you are beside him.

I've only ridden an indoor kart once and it's clear that any collision and/or bad crash has the potential to cause serious injuries to drivers, especially their spines. This guy should be banned from driving on this track for the rest of his life because of this behavior, I hope he was given exemplary punishment. My compliments to you for handling the situation maturely, like a real man; different from this cowardly guy throwing his kart at others at every turn! I wonder what goes on in the head of someone like that, there are people who leave the house with the sole aim of causing fights. Inexplicable.

@@BRY4NFPS looked to me like he missed the apex because he carried too much speed on the entry, thus causing him to run wide. Although I do see a jolt on the camera mid-corner, maybe that's contact from behin? It's hard to tell if or when he actually got hit. From what I saw, he was desperate to stay ahead, causing him to get greedy and carry too much speed on the entry.
