Truthfully, I use nothing but Kastking now and I will tell you exactly what it is with the majority of people. These folks who are getting their ass handed to them by us, the ones who are being just as successful as the others," and the ones who have their heads so high in the clouds because they now have their way overprices Abu Garcia Beast in the boat.... well they just don't want to admit they no longer have the superior product and they don't want to admit they are paying more for the name than they are the product. They look at me like I am fishing with a cheap little Dora the explorer reel, that is until they reluctantly try my reel, see me catch a fish while outcasting and outretrieving them, or the best one yet when I intentionally clean my reel in front of them and they see that whats inside is not a dora the explorer reel they thought I had. The reason is simple, the same reason why it took me forever to STOP buying 1000 Remington and they is because it is usually something that has been tried and true for generations. I then went out and bought a TC Venture to replace my old Remington deer rifle, bought a Mossberg 88 to replace my Benelli, and I bought all my Kastking over the past 3-4 year to replace my Abu Garcia, Diawa, and Libra " the only one of those still standing is the cheapo Diawa, the others are now in the garbage because they messed up beyond repair" The money it would have cost to repair them was way beyond what they were worth. The KK however is still chugging along and the replacement parts, IF I ever had to replace them is dirt cheap and top quality. It's all a pride thing, after all who wants to admit they've been taken to the cleaners their whole life. If KK would only come out with a low cost top quality boat now :)

Well said sir! Thanks for the great informative feedback! We love to hear testimonials like this!
@desertrainfrog16912 жыл бұрын
The difference between KastKing and upper tier Abus, Daiwas, and Shimanos is that the latter 3 will still be working in 20 years if they're cared for. You can spew your testimonial when your reel stands the test of time like all the others. That thing will be a parts reel before 5 years is up. No aftermarket support by then I reckon, and plastic parts don't last.

I have 2 Stealths and both are my most (and hardest) used reels. 1 on my chatterbait rod that is my most favorite and used technique with thousands and thousands of casts including tank fish caught with it in the past 2.5 yrs and 1 on my froggin rod with thousands of casts and tanks along with tons of weeds/grass/slop caught on it in just over 2 yrs on that one. Both are absolute beast reels to hold up the way they have (without me ever even breaking them down and cleaning them even once...I can't kill em!). They cast a mile and are rock solid still. Only bad thing about em, is that KK discontinued making my absolute favorite reels. That makes me sad. 😢😭

I've had both the assassin and stealth for around 8 months. Assassin I use for flipping mainly and the stealth stays on my crankbait rod. Both reels are great. I also have a lews mach 2. both reels together cost around the same as the lews and perform just as well. Kastking will most likely be the only baitcasters I will purchase in the future. You can't beat the great performance and the price. I also abuse the hell out of them, they have been dropped many times, I've fallen with them in my hand on multiple occasions and caught myself with them and the only thing that it did was give the a little character. Do yourself a favor and buy one! Great vid by tge way!

I've had my Stealth for over 2 years now, and I like it as much or more now than i did the first day I took it out of the box, spooled it up with line and took it fishing. I heard all the rumors and talk about it being difficult to get dialed in and whatnot because of the lighter spool, and I have not found it to be liike that at all. Its been more forgiving and easier to cast than my Royal Legend which gave me fits for a while. Its a great reel I will continue to enjoy and catch bass on for a long time.

In the past I have used Shimano only, Yes I was one of those guys. But in 2015 I had a stroke which put me out of commission I thought for good, so I sold of almost all my gear. After lots of rehab I'm ready to try again albeit from a wheelchair now. I'm retired and living on my SS so buying all new shimano gear is out of the question and to be honest I've never like ABU reels LOL after researching I found Kastking and their price range was perfect for me, I am currently using an Assassin reel on a KastKing Perigee II rod and I have to say it's preformed great so far, I'm planning on getting a Stealth next, you just can't beat the price.

Last time I tried a casting reel was an old Abu Garcia of my dads I borrowed when I was 7 yrs. old. It wasn't pretty. The biggest birds nest one can imagine. Dad wasn't happy, gave a stern warning NOT to use his rods again.50+ yrs later I'm considering my 1st casting reel. Seeing several complimentary reviews of the Kast King's has my attention but...I have to wonder?? If/when there is a malfunction or failure of the reel what does the consumer do, where do you go for repairs or warranty?? Nothing is perfect, it's understandable some may malfunction so what does an owner do if there is a problem??
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Dan Learned thank you for your question. To answer in short, we offer a one year total piece of mind warranty on our reels. If you experience any issues you can contact our customer service department located in the US. Any issues would be addressed accordingly. As for repairs and maintenance, we offer a full lineup of videos to help aid the angler to try and maintain gear themselves. If we don't offer guidance on a topic we will make an attempt to get a media production delivered or as we mentioned, addressed by customer service. Good luck with your new baitcast reel we hope you find joy in it! 😄

I have used a Kastking Blade, spinning reel for a few months. The reel works pretty well, but the shiny silver finish on the drag adjusment has all just flaked off. I scraped the remainder off because it looked crappy. I would be keen to try a Stealth, but I'm sceptical of Kastkings finish now..
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Please contact customer service about your Blade. AS for the Stealth, it does not have any silver finish. Some anglers have even been using it in saltwater and freshwater regularly with ZERO issues. You can see that video in our recent uploads.

A channel called realistic fishing, did a review video and complained about the drag being defective. Have you seen that? I still went and ordered the reel based on other reviews by trusted sources. I have other Kastking spinning reels and I am very happy with them.
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is possible there was a defective reel. We have heard stories of anglers using the reel in salt water and simply rinsing off and the reel still works great. Not recommended, but to make a point that the reel is durable enough for saltwater use, bearings and all.

The tension knob on my speed demon does not hold. I have to constantly tighten it throughout the day.I use it mostly for flipping and pitching. This doesn’t happen with any of my other reels. It’s possible that I’m nudging loose with my hand but since it happens when I also use it for topwater and it doesn’t happen with other reels I don’t think that’s the case. Otherwise, it seems to be a pretty good reel. I have horses several 5-lb fish into the boat from under docks and out of heavy cover with it.

It's a physics phenomenom call "Eddy Current." It isn't relly an attraction, but rather, is a repeling or pressure force. This clip is a fun and easy demonstration of how that works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGPLenifm85ogNE

Interesting, first look at what type of line you are throwing. If it is a plastic type line then that might be the problem. If you are throwing braid, try adjusting the tension spool knob (the small one by the star drag). Then move everything to the tightest and adjust everything looser as you get more comfortable.

Wondering carbon fiber reel housing or is made of plastic which is it what does the mfg say. Because carbon fiber is used in a lot of products for example rifles ,boats ,rods etc . Or is it carbon fiber plastic?
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Solid carbon construction for the body and frame with carbon fiber handle.
@barryford67957 жыл бұрын
KastKing so your reels of more solid carbon fiber than cheap plastic. This will quite some customers ideas that for such a lower price point reel they are getting lesser quality reel and cheap plastics . Thank you for your prompt response to my enquirers.

Why sp inexpensive? I am about to order the assassin model based on the youtube videos I have seen. All my friends buy all these expensive shimano, daiwa and abu garcia reels...I can't afford to fish like that. So why the great price compared to these other brands?
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Good question Charlie, and the answer is an easy one. We don't have warehouse distributors who charge a fee, brick and mortar stores with overhead costs to support, or sales reps who take a commission, and we don't do a lot of traditional advertsing, which is expensive. All of the other brands have to charge more to cover those costs, we pass the savings on to the consumers -- like you! Oh, and BTW, we work on a very narrow profit margin, which also keeps prices down.
@charlieharper86837 жыл бұрын
KastKing Well that is awesome! Keep doing what your doing! It can get way too expensive to fish now a days with all these high priced items that you feel forced to buy cause you think they are gonna be the best quality
That is the strangest centrifugal brake design, how does it work? Technically if the brakes don't move from the spool spinning they are just mechanical brakes... Doesn't look like the move from centrifugal force to me unless the spool somehow moves them out as it spins within the side plate.
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel, we have the conventional version of centrifugal brake on Assassin reels. For the Stealth, our development team went a little creative. They want to save weight and have a very easy to adjust "centrifugal brake". That's the version you are seeing right now. Also the Stealth has 7 magnets and enough stopping power, so you don't have to open the side cover every time to adjust the centrifugal. Just set the pins to certain level, you'll be avoiding any backlashes.
@KastKing7 жыл бұрын
Stay tuned for a detailed look at how the brake system works.

Mine can chuck a frog pretty far, but my only problem is when I cast too hard or rather too fast then it backlashes. Also light baits are hard to cast without backlashes either.

How do you get the bearing out in the brake cover side ?
@15outdoor7 жыл бұрын
the reason it's light is because main gear & gear shaft are made out of aluminum, other reels are mostly made out of brass
@paulquigley99107 жыл бұрын
The spool is also 40% lighter than most so the spool spins faster with less effort. If you put down a normal baitcaster and than grab the Stealth you need to make a slight adjustment on the force used when casting.

I have a dumb question so get ready to laugh. after you laugh, can you answer my question if you can without laughing. The reel says 11+1 bearings. Does that mean it has 11 bearings in the reel? if so, where are they? or one bearing with 11 little balls in that bearing? what is the +1 then?
@joshross17758 жыл бұрын
11 ball bearings and 1 anti reverse bearing.
@KastKing8 жыл бұрын
