You know: she made a choice by posting that photo, got a lot of backlash from fans and non-fans alike, and then took down the photo and apologized…and that should have been that. She didn’t do any other number of awful things that many other comedians *and politicians* have with far less backlash, such as sexually assault people. The way so many people just continued to go after her was ridiculous. I had a coworker at the time that wouldn’t shut up about it, and I’m like; “well, I didn’t like the photo but at the end of the day she’s a comedian and I don’t hold her to the same standard as a politician. Now, politicians posting similarly inflammatory things are the ones I feel we should be concentrating on because they’re supposed to be representing us”. My coworker did not like that response. I’m pretty sure she was a secret Trumper.

I can’t imagine the things Kathy had/has to deal with from psychopaths. I don’t have PTSD, but I do have CPTSD from lifetime of being bullied, gaslit, and excluded because I’m autistic. Panic attacks have actually become more frequent with age (even during running which is my destress time). I love psychedelics. I think all neurodivergent people should get as much LSD as they want. It takes a lot of drugs to tolerate neurotypical BS. 😅
@Mike-rk8px9 ай бұрын
Have you tried ayahuasca? It totally changed my life after one dose, in a profound way that LSD or shrooms never did. It’s the most vile tasting thing you’ll ever drink, and you’ll vomit like someone opened up fire hydrant. But if you want to change your life for the better, it’s hard to beat. The only people that will have a bad time with it are people who did lots of horrific things to others, because it forces you to see the reality of who you are whether you want to or not. If Trump took ayahuasca he’d go insane and have to be locked up because he wouldn’t be able to handle the truth.

Plenty of them were saying that it was ridiculous. You just pay attention to the wrong people. Apart from that, doing a photoshoot with the head of a sitting president, regardless of popularity, is a bit beyond the pale. If Jordan Peterson posed with Obama's severed head, I'd understand the blowback there too. I don't support it, but it makes sense.

@@danyl7628 Why should she have been on any of those shows? What the fuck do you know about the production of any of them? Kathy Griffin has never been involved in anyway with the scenes that these guys are in. Why would they randomly invite KG on, when 99% of their audience either doesn’t know who she is or wouldn’t be interested? She has a niche audience comprised of gays and women who like celebrity gossip. She’s a great comic, but she doesn’t work the same markets. She’s likely never asked to be on these shows, or put herself out there like that. How did JP get on these pods? He fucking asked. He was also involved in a more important issue. KG was reasonably chastised for potential inciting the assassination of the President, which became an actual legal issue for her. If she’d wanted to go on any of these shows, she could have reached out, and several would have been more than happy to oblige.
