Ha! I was strangely the other way around. I always yearned for the RGV250, but actually bought the KR1S...it was a bit cheaper. Ruddy quick and revvy.

Can we still get parts for these bikes ? Are their any good after market part suppliers in the UK for the KR1-S ? I need an air filter among other things and will need to do a resto on brakes, suspension however will hopefully be lucky enough not to have to do a rebuild on the engine. Have rust in the tank so hopefully can fix with some vinegar and bicarb.

I had one of these from brand new - same colour, green and black. It had to go back to the dealers for a full engine rebuild (under warranty) after a few thousand miles. I dont understand how anyone could let a bike deteriorate as badly as this one. I like the video, great quality - but audio commentary would've been a great addition. Looking forward to the end result.

£900 for that ?? 🙀 wow how didn’t that go for more? Ah the good old strip down, that thing that requires a photographic memory to put back together, something I don’t possess 😩 I have to label and picture every tiny screw and washer 🥴

5 years ago i sold my 1988 KR-1 with under original 5000kms from new.. bike spent most of its life in a Japanese bike museum i only made one video of it .....look up kr_1 barn find on youtube
