This vid is a great ad for your school - hoping to give it a go when I can make enough consistent time between work and kids. Like another guy mentioned, I have some real-life hours too and had hoped to complete a PPL last year but economic downturn has really tightened the screws on non-essential pastimes. In the meantime these bite-size DCS lessons are really handy, thanks for posting. The montage was magnificent btw 😆

Tim, great video. I tend to fly Msfs or real life, but DCS has to be looked closer into. One element I would be interested in is the typical radio calls and where in the phase of flight you would use them in a UK air station based flight. Keep up the good work.

Really find the cockpit videos extremely helpful as I am still learning the controls/gauges etc. and how you continually check and adjust. I have to look up some of the aviation terms and gauges constantly as I am trying to become more proficient. My goal is to not just "wing it".

This is fantastic, Tim. I had to take a hiatus from real life flying lessons. Just ran out of funds due to back-to-back overseas business trips. But, hoping to secure a major contract soon so hopefully, before Spring 2024, I'll sign up for Shadowlands because I'd love to learn how to operate simulated combat aircraft professionally.

Great Video Tim, I'm really trying to improve my Sim flying in terms of flying accurate speeds and trying to get my times at waypoints to be close to my flight plan. I have a simple mission setup for an airfield attack where I'm try to time my rolling for 30 seconds after 2 AI aircraft do a run across the field hitting an AAA emplacement. I would love to see a video about flight planning ( especially fuel planning) and some tips about hitting a specific ToT. Regards Mark

im inscribing my self in your school program, im ok at the F14 and F16 but the f18 is a plane that i have for years but i never used ir seriously meaning i need obviously instruction to use the systems properly and be a ready for combat pilot in this plane, you do teach the F18 right? take care Tim, much love and happiness in your life and in your choices,

Hi Tim, DCS looks great, what would be the best kit for complete rookie to start off with... as i dont own any peripherals, just a low end PC, however, im interested in getting into the sim world, so what would you recommend Regards GT

Have a look at the Thrustmaster 16000M joystick and throttle, that's good starter kit and check the recommended PC specs on the DCS website.

Just a thought ...... if you took your skills and knowledge into the schemes , housing estates and to the less well off areas and somehow could show what being a pilot is all about like u do in this vid, oor young males AYE ,MALES, females r welcome but not encouraged , would maybe stop stabbing each other and finally wake up from being woke. have zero ideas on the how to implement all that btw thats a whole other Joint ill need to smoke and think about it lol. im a dreamer man... but im not the only one. So what is it you're doing here tim. I never watch these only you venting the truth posts. I admire your bravery to talk about it. So many are too scared and if they don't find the courage soon we are cooked. When i try to ingage the people you see the fear in their face. The problem is our people want others to pull thier chestnuts out the fire. That's not going to happen. We haven't the time now for a political solution. Time has been squandered. And every day our enemies gain strength while we get weaker. And they have been emboldened by the traitors and minorities now in our places of power. I've probably said too much already but people please wake up and find the strength to unite.

We are only custodians of this island. Our ancestors conducted themselves with honour in order for us to have this land. Don't shame our ancestors and those that done what was needed in 1st and 2nd world wars. Unite and say enough. We have always had to give up something in order to survive. We have to give up our tolerance of what's happening it's not too much. And yes you might lose your job. But once we secure our lands there will be positions needing filled plenty houses and doc appointments. We don't have to live like this. I hope you don't mind me voicing on your space. If there's something you don't like day and i will remove instantly. I repect you tim i think your have courage and honour so I'm drawn to your page.
