How about we see a game where you rent/lease property. Sharecroppers or something. Also, include stores for the shopping experience. < ----- supernatural IMHO makes a game more interesting.

I agree Jason, this game is really cool just with the survival mechanics it has. In fact I think it would be amazing if they implemented stuff like energy for sleep and like wellness so you have to make sure you don't eat bad food or drink dirty water.

(Like the Salem trials) The shun could form alliances with real witches. Learn the craft. Then cause havoc to those who forsaken them. See fun.

Kage, when the wolves howl, they are calling in "reinforcements". Those friends of his will circle around you and attack you from behind. Give wolves a very wide berth, and that should prevent them from howling. However, when they run off suddenly, that means they have spotted SUPPER!!!

A few things (you've probably already learned, since this video was posted a few days ago): - You only need to put one spear on your hotbar. It'll be replaced by any other if you throw it. - Bucks won't chase you. I've found boars and wisent easiest to hunt. Just be prepared to throw your spear right at their heads, easy 2-shot! - When you're in a town, you'll see icons on the compass up top. The exclamation points will show you where active quests are, and the bags will show you where merchants are.

I'm sure someone else has said it but plantains are easier to find with the survival skills that lets u locate herbs. Couple things You don't need to equip your spear in all slots it auto gives you another. Also if u hit the animal in the head it's usually an instant kill

From your house cross the bridge going to the town when you get to the small creek (shown on map) follow it to that first large bend, that whole area is full of boars, foxes ,rabbits and goats.

This game seems to be going for a historical realism, I don't think paranormal or supernatural stuff has a place within it for that reason. But I wouldn't be opposed to quests involving rumors of those occurrences that end up being superstitious nonsense or explainable happenings, that time period was full of superstition and general ignorance.

The other creatures fall under the supernatural but people did believe in them back then so it'd be a fair argument to have them included in some way. Again, as either rumors or investigative quests maybe.

@@FuneralRoses Could have them appear due to drugs like mushrooms or some kind of berry, similar to the way green hell has the sanity feature where the imaginary people attack you and you can still fight back, best way i can think of to incoporate those sorts of things without taking away from the realism too much.

OK. I looks like I have farming working now. Mark off a large plot. Use the Hoe to till the field. You need the bag, not the small sack. Equip the bag and have seeds in your inventory. Then right click and select a seed. Then left click to spread it on the plot. Rye is planted in the fall, onions only in the spring, cabbages you can do both spring and summer and both these take only one season. I think the flacks is only one season too, but I need a scythe to harvest it. Most of the crops you can pick by hand except likely the grains. You get some seed with the cabbage and onion when you pick them and you get 4 cabbages per plot. I think you get less of the onions and seeds for the onions. After you harvest then you use the bag and right click and select manure. Spread it on each plot and hoe it in. If you leave a plot for a season you can not grow anything in it and after about a year it is no longer a farm plot. After he manure you need to hoe it in and then you can plant seeds again. Lesnica and I think at least one other village has the scythe, shears, iron ax and hammer, and pickax. Manure and lots of seeds are sold in the villages in the North West part of the map. It is a long trek, but well worth it. Until you get your tech up high enough from farming to build the food storage building for food and the regular storage building for logs, the villagers will get mad an leave. I would not get a wife either. You can only get one villager (I think at reputation of 50), and your second one is at 100. You need to get them to 70 before they agree. I am assuming that your wife will leave too without logs for the fire and food in the food storage. I have a lady at 75 attitude and 78 romance right now, but I still can not ask her to marry me. I am not sure if you need romance at 100 or more reputation or what. She is a long trek away so I go there about 1 time a year and spend a few days sweetening her up. Use your compass when you come into a village. The sacks are stores, the exclamation mark is a quest, and the people are willing settlers you can try to convince. They all have different skills too. You will have to go into the Manage section and assign them to a building. They will collect resources. Taxes come in the spring on the third year. It was not very much for me. It also seems the winter gets colder the second year. The first morning my hood and boots were just barely good enough. I have leather gloves now. They take 20 leather and the boots take 36. The bag took 2 leather and 2 wool thread (which I bought). Now that I have a farm going though, hopefully I can get the experience to start unlocking the food and get my village going. You can only build 8 buildings at the start. I am guessing you need more reputation to build more. Don't go crazy building everything (I messed this up) as they are mostly for the villagers. Buy the few items the let you make. You need a a storage building and get your garden going. Then a food storage building. After that I would make a hunting lodge and get you first villager or 2. I think the lodge can have 2 workers and can they do hunting or gathering each. Buildings deteriorate over time, but you have a while. I think they deteriorate about 5% a year. You also can upgrade things on some of the buildings with the hammer... like the walls on your house, but I think that takes clay. I did buy a pick ax in the village in the middle of the southern border. I also got a crossbow, but I find it worthless, same with the bow. Just make lots of spears on the days you go hunting. You lose them or break them enough so it really does not matter. The only disadvantage of them is their weight, so only carry more than one when you are hunting. So far axes, berries, and sticks are the best for selling for money right now. If I have extra crops, I might be able to do prepared food. So far for missions I have had to get berries, gold for taxes, 2 types of mushroom, hunt 7 deer/rabbits, hunt 7 wolf/bear/boar, and the regular ones. I am still looking for the 3 boars for the mission for the hunting lodge. I have killed 3 before, but I have not seen any since I got the mission. I failed the bore/wolf/bear one, so it seems some of them have timers. Oh the crashing bug when you sleep at the end of the season has gone away, so I think there was a quick update. Fires also go away now so you have to rebuild them. Both those started today. And hunting is easy. Even the bears only take 3 thrown spears. If you aim good (and get close enough) you can one shot a deer with a thrown spear in the head. I usually ignore rabbits and foxes unless I have a mission for them. And in case you did not know the night lasts forever... until you sleep.

Well the farming does seem a bit flaky still. Some patches I can not manure or re-hoe for the next planting. Maybe they have to run the year over or maybe I will have to make new farming plots every years. Either way I got plenty of experience to unlock my food storage and load it up. My girl friend is at 82% affection and is at a 10% chance of marriage. I might save before I ask her and reload a few times if it does not work.

An other tip Kage ... if you press ALT keep after cutting down a tree you will see feathers that you will need for your arrows !!

It shows right on top at the compass if and where there is a quest available in the vicinity. Also shows you people buying and selling things.

You can tell which NPCs are quest givers by the white exclamation points indicated in the compass. With the spear, you place one in the hot-bar and the replacements in your inventory and when one breaks it will be automatically replaced by one in your inventory into the same slot.

Hey Kage if you need money hit those berry bush 1:30 you look directly in them by the fence, you get 4-5 per bush and each berry sells for 1 gold, in 5 min i ripped hole town. Hotkey 1 spear and game will automaticly pull another one if you have in your inventory. And you can use your fire inside house for procesing meat, just light it up, and look into the fire not the cauldron. And some of the chests are not empty, outside that village is 2 small huts with boxes inside 1 of them contains iron tools , you cant sell them but you can use them.

You do not need to put each spear into different slot number If you have more than one the next will go into that first slot. It's only when you run out of spears that you need to reassign a slot.

You can crouch to sneak closer to animal. The spear does the most damage in the game so far. Most animals dies with one headshot. Exception are the vison and bear who takes 2 headshots. When the wolf howl at you it makes for easy headshots.

Don't rush to recruit NPCs get your village ready first. Get a resource shed and wood shed first. If they join and they are uncomfortable, can't eat or their house is cold because they don't have wood they will leave.

Just hot key 1 spear, if you lose it or it breaks, the game will equip another spear into the same hotkey if you have them in you inventory. Same goes for axe, hammer etc.. There are herbs that will restore health, keep a bunch on you when hunting.

make stone tanning knife, just roam forest and pick lots of rocks and sticks and craft knifes regularly to keep weight down, they sell for 21 silver and are super easy (spears suck for selling)

Kage when you equip a spear you only need to do it once it will auto pull the next one to your tool bar after you throw it

You can go underwater if you go deep enough or otherwise crouch. I think the fish can be found in the round lake. If you're taking spears to hunt with, 7 should be enough for a few kills.

IK I'm late to the party but two things ive noticed while playing that you might not yet have found out with all the time you've now put into this since you'e on like the 30th episode when i'm commenting on the 3rd. But if you didnt notice yet while playing, throwing the spear does more damage than melee attacks and the branches of trees I think are like saplings for the trees so if you leave them I think they will grow into bigger trees over the seasons. If you've noticed you can get between like 2 and 4 logs per tree and I think it depends on the make of tree and the size of the tree. Love the series and can't wait to carry on watching your videos while playing.

The hunter (wolf quest) sells bow and arrow. Bow is 200 arrows are 10 each. Before you go get it gather a bunch of sticks and sell them.

I like to spend the night outside of towns chopping trees and dropping the stacks of logs infront of where the merchants normally stand. In the morning when they open shop I make firewood and offload it for ez exp and money.

You should check the top of the screen for 'exclamation marks' and go to it for quests (it tells you how far you are from the person!

You only need one spear on the hot bar, if you have multiple spears on you it brings up the next one automatically when you throw it.

You only need to have a spear in 1 hot-bar spot, and a stack in you inventory and it will auto reload on that spot.

Based on how this is indeed the first medieval survival and reminds me quite a bit of KCD, supernatural stuff might not be right thing to do, it'll probably alienate a lot of the people which like the game, although I do understand why you want stuff like that in the game, survival and building up only goes so far in terms of having the player invested. Some sort of fightable threat might indeed be warranted, maybe some kind of diplomacy mechanics which lets you war different villages or something like that? :D

your spear break really fast ( 3 hit. thrown or not ) so atlest keep 3 of them in your inventory you need atlest 1 to kill wolf and boar ( clean head shot ) and sometime they show up in pack also in summer healing herb is all over the forest it worth put a point in servival sense at level 2 just for that ( 1 herb heal 10 hp )

Take one level of Survival Sense from the Survival tree. You will be able to see the healing herbs (they grow in large clusters) and never have a problem with hp again.

not sure if you know, but the fire/cauldron in your house acts like a campfire for cooking meat....look at the fire itself below the cauldron and bring up your cooking thing. That way you are not having to keep a campfire outside if you dont want to

i made an infused oil with broadleaf plantain not i n game but in real life i have real life forage skills and make my own medicines and that's why i like to play survival games but i really do like that mushroom searching because i pick them too in real life. coming home with full bags of food :)))
