The husband was lying! He said no before the judge was even halfway through her question. That seems so shady to me. Also, I think the reason why the husband didn't come is that he's a bad liar and he did not want to be questioned by the judge. The landlord acted like she wasn't sure where the husband is at, he might be at work? She knows where he's at!

That's not a logical conclusion. The "no" answered the first part of the question. "Did you ever give him permission to take any of the furniture that was furnishing the place" pause "no" "and ..." "no" again.

I think the husband took the question to be "did you give him permission to take the furniture", initially. He said "no" to that and then confirmed "no" again when the question was extended to "take the furniture to the barn". I don't think that's necessarily shifty. It's the husband's assertion he didn't give him permission to do anything with furniture.

I agree with the JM’s decision here. Lots of comments are saying that the defendant and her husband are lying about the furniture being missing. Im sure JM caught on to that with how trigger happy the husband was with his response and didn’t want to argue over the telephone. Also when the defendant said that she wasn’t too knowledgeable in being a landlord, I’m sure JM took that as a shady comment. Pretty sure that JM just gave the lady something to keep her from pushing anything further. Notice how JM didn’t make a ruling on the defendant’s counter claim because we all know it’s based off more shadiness. Good call from the judge.

@Annie_Annie__
@Annie_Annie__ 2 жыл бұрын
Those kinds of laws vary greatly by state. In some states it’s doubled (or tripled) before taking deductions, in some states no deductions are taken at all as punishment against the landlord for not following the rules and then it might be doubled or tripled; it just depends. Judge Milian tries to follow the laws of the litigants’ state of residence rather than the state they’re doing the arbitration in (which happens to be the same state in this case, if I’m not mistaken).

Not sure I trust either of them. The plaintiff was very quick to deny everything like the defendant. I believed him until he said he didn't leave beer cans around (probably from the people moving him). Come on! Weird case.

The plaintiff is shady -- he doesn't directly answer the Judge's yes or no questions.

I agree with Milian's ruling in this case. She balanced everything out on both sides here.

Do I think he's lying... 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk but what I do know is I'm a soldier and during my service I've met many dishonest soldiers.

Wow, cro magnon man has super creepy vibes. Whatever he's been through in the military has clearly traumatized him. I have ptsd so I can see it in others. There's a haunted look in the eyes almost like a cornered animal. Always being on alert and hyper aware takes a toll on a person.

Relax, he has no creepy vibes. he is not traumatized. We were military many years, and my dad was in a war.

If you actually had PTSD or a history of trauma you wouldn’t pretend to empathize with someone and then describe their trauma-connected affect and tone as “super creepy vibes”…yikes

Why do you have to thank someone for their service… they volunteered for it and knew what they were getting into. Why do they need thanked

What? That's like saying why do you have to thank someone for holding the door open for you? They volunteered to do it and knew what they were doing... Or a doctor saving your life.. that's his job right? No need to thank him.. actually with your logic.. there would be no point to thank anyone at all!
