To everyone telling me to mail my socks to darn tough: the outfitter is a certified seller therefore I was about to receive my free pair of socks in store. Hence why I disposed of the socks. Much easier method to just exchange in store rather than deal with mailing things in the thru hiker world.

I hope you enjoyed Boiling Springs...I live in the area and run the trails quite often. I would like to think as hikers pass through the area they find the town friendly and accommodating. Have a safe rest of your trip Kelly...I follow your adventures and enjoy your attitude towards life.

You are an inspiration! I have medical bills too, they suck and they don't just disappear. I'm going through breast cancer treatments, I cannot through-paddle the Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) as planned this year - but last weekend I took a 2 night paddle into the backcountry in the Adirondacks in New York, with less weight, less gear, and still got outside. You getting your butt back out on the trail after your surgery made me realize I could do it! Thank you and keep up with enjoying the small things on the trail as you go (like tubing, kayaking, swimming...) I watch Dixie, you, and the WAWO - the Wander Women (a bit older than me) - all women who just keep going.

Hey Kelly! Sorry about the forced zero. Thinking happy thoughts about your situation. Trail looked and sounded so beautiful today. Corn fields remind me of my grandma too! Everyone should get to play in a corn field at least once in their life! Looked like a hella cute town, I’ll have to add it to the list of must stops. Glad the outfitter swapped out your socks. Such a great company. I won’t wear anything else anymore. Loved the double wide, great deal for 40 beans!🙏 Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. #giveashit -Grateful ❤️💙🌹💀🌹💙❤️
