I'm confused about the cops and their obsession with the mom not calling 911? She took him to the hospital. Where I live just driving to the hospital is faster than waiting for an ambulance to come.
@UrbanDecayLova2475 жыл бұрын
Yea that was a little strange. They were acting as if she hadn’t done anything. Do they think her calling 911, waiting for them to get there and then taking him to the hospital anyway would’ve saved him? Like in my opinion she took more action than some would’ve by just taking him herself.

Poor little guy :( This is so sad, my husband was starved as a child, before foster care and remembers eating gum off the sidewalk :/ As someone who has also taken in family members children, via the state, and had 2 very challenging Grandchildren with behavioral problems; they really should've put him in a situation where he had more one-on-one care. It is not the child's decision, or fault, that he is damaged! Why abuse him more, after all he has been through? Garden hose bathing, wooden bed sleeping, and feeding him obviously not normal amounts of food, even if he has an obvious eating disorder??? What about counseling? Why not tell the state you're in over your head, and need a specialized home counselor, or need him to go to a more specialized situation?? NO sympathy here - It is up the adults, to know when it has become too much!! We had 5 kids total at one point, with our 3 children, and the 2 Grandkids who's parents lost their rights - and had some tough choices to make at one point. There is an element of shame, in realizing that you're in over your head, and they obviously were. Sorry, not sorry. The foster parents were in the wrong!!! Worried about what their "church family", and friends would think. So so so sad!!! They clearly committed child abuse, in MANY ways. I'm appalled :(

Here's my genuine opinion. I had pica when I was younger. I was constantly hungry and I LOVED salt. I also had ADHD so my parents struggled to keep my calm with my food addiction. My mom would legit give me hot water with bulletin cubes mixed with it just to keep my under control. My dad would give me yogurts. Why? Because thats all they could think of because doctors don't know everything. That's exactly what this mother did. The fact that people are making it seem strange that she showered him down with a hose and burned the bed sheets is kinda crazy to me. Did you expect her to wash his shit filled ass in the bathroom where the other kids bathe in? Did you expect her to keep the shit stained sheets? That's the fastest way to get e-coli. She did what she thought was necessary and she at least tried unlike most people in her situation. Edit: OK so a lot of you have been giving me criticism about the bedsheets. I just want to make something clear. I don't think burning the sheets was the most logical solution. If my child shat all over my bed, burning the sheets won't be my first solution. But that's just me. Y'all gotta remember that people don't think the same way as you. People make irrational decisions.

Maggie Cloud leaving him alone to eat enough salt for him to die is quite obvious neglect. Because of her that child is dead. She never should’ve taken him in. She didn’t love him
@maggiequinncloud4 жыл бұрын
Jordan Spitzer I️ think it’s a bold accusation to claim she didn’t love him, I️ think he was misdiagnosed with Pica when he actually had Prader-Willis syndrome and she was simply unaware of how to raise him and what to expect and what precautions to take, as PWS causes severe compulsive behavior, aggression, delayed development, learning disabilities, and excessive insatiable hunger amongst other things. A diagnosis of PWS would also explain his previous foster mother not noticing symptoms, they wouldn’t have started developing yet. They were only fostering him, they hadn’t yet adopted him. If she simply didn’t love him they would have sent him back into the system. Parents of children with Prader-Willis often have to have padlocks on the fridge and cabinets because the second their back is turn the child will GORGE themselves on anything. She had five other children, without knowing of this diagnosis and the developmental delay and compulsive behavior that comes along with it, one would absolutely think they could turn their back for two minutes on a four year old without them ingesting a lethal amount of salt. It was a tragic accident, but honestly? I’m not even sure he DID ingest the salt. It was proven that his stomach contents did not contain twice the normal limit upon arrival, his blood levels did and this was AFTER the HOSPITAL pumped him with sodium for over an HOUR. The doctor’s completely false testimony of Andrew’s symptoms also led to an innocent woman doing 7 years in prison. THAT is not only neglect but potential medical malpractice.

The only real flags for me are burning the sheets on the grill, and having him sleep on his bed frame. Possible they had no other way to contain the fire. The seasoning in the sippy cup seems like a somewhat smart way to try and convince Andrew he was intaking something flavorful like a soup or a broth without the calories and without feeding him four bowls. A drive to the hospital is faster than an ambulance here, and using a normal backyard hose to rinse a poopy toddler is very common. I’m sure they got frustrated and were overwhelmed with his behaviors, but I don’t think some questionable choices = life in prison for murder. Andrew looked like such a sweet boy, I’m happy he found a family and hope his last few months were spent so very feeling loved.

She could've been on medication for her injuries from the car accident and maybe that made her drowsy. This kind of thing can happen to anyone, but unfortunately this was the one in a million instance where it ended tragically. I know hindsight is 20/20 but maybe they should've locked up the cabinets.

Right. She’s jsut now becoming a parent so she don’t understand the exhaustion that overtakes you at some points no matter how hard you try to stay awake

I agree. I heard that and was like uhhhh

hard agree. I'm usually in agreement with Kendall but as I was hearing the story, all I was thinking was what brave parents trying to handle this child. I mean, just regular tantrums are hard to deal with in the moment. These parents were dealing with way way more, even if they signed up for adopting him knowing his difficult background. I think about the early nights with baby, poop everywhere--not the same as this foster kid but it's survival mode. I hope when Kendall's lived through her one child for a few years she revisits this video with an update. Some of her judgements were a bit harsh.

Sue B With what seasoned water? Hate to tell you but the doctors kept pushing salt water into his bloodstream because they didn’t know about the already elevated sodium levels. They didn’t find insanely crazy amounts of salt in his stomach meaning she didn’t spoon feed him salt they found it in his bloodstream

Sue B are you actually looking at all the facts?

Yes, the marks all on his body could have been caused by the medical staff trying to save him but he also threw tantrums often. I think some of them could have been accidentally self inflicted. If seen kids have tantrums and thrown themselves on the ground so hard that they bruise themselves. Just my theory.

Yeah that and didn't his mom literally say he was a clumsy child. He was rowdy boy and what I can tell from the videos he enjoyed playing outside so he probably got hurt sometimes, as children do, especially children with poor motor skills.

yeah, I'm an adult and I still have numerous bruises on my right leg at all times, is it because of abuse? no I'm just clumsy. Clumsiness causes a lot of injuries tbh

I have an almost 5 year old and she’ll have scratches and bruises that I have no idea where they came from, she very active and climbs everything. Right now she’s standing on her chair and jumping off 🤦♀️ I’ll find I have random bruises myself that I have no idea came from

I’m already like twelve and I still get injured for one of the most stupid things, it could have easily been self inflicted, and kids get so many more injuries when they are younger

My daughter, nephews, and cousins do this. Honestly I’ve never seen a kid not do this to get their way.
