I would think that you cry when listening to this song because it brings up so many different emotions. I like to think of tears as what comes out when our emotional cup overflows - happiness, sadness, nostalgia...in this case, it's probably that you are experiencing general nostalgia, plus happiness that you were adopted and being given so much love, and possibly also being reminded of the love you might have been missing prior to being adopted (don't know your experience, just going off of what can sometimes be the case with adoption). That's a lot of emotions, add in that you are now having your own baby, that I assume you are keeping, and all of the emotions that come with that...I'm not remotely surprised that the song brings tears to your eyes.

When my mom was pregnant with me in 1997, she sang this song almost every day to calm me down whenever I was stirring around too much. Then, when I was born and screaming my head off, while being surrounded by this whole group of doctors, my mom sang this song to me again. And then, according to her, I quieted right down, and every single doctor in that room just fell silent and was completely shocked. So, needless to say, this song is truly magical and has played an important part in my childhood. And, to this day, I still love it.

Puff the Magic Dragon, came , courtesy of Captain kangaroo along with the inchworm both of those songs would make me cry when I was a little girl and then my mom got the Peter and Mary album that had puff on it, and I still cried when I heard it. The inchworm I didn’t hear anymore after the captain. But then along came the 70s high school in college in the war all that stuff and there was this amazing gentle song Pooh Corner read the stories to my little brother. His Pooh color forms were his favorite things, he’s slept in blanket sleepers With Winnie the Pooh on them. And it was such a beautiful song and I played it for him and he like that and rubber ducky and in our house because his name was Scott was Bobby Goldboughs watching Scotty grow. I asked my boyfriend who was going to become my husband but I didn’t know it yet. If you want to give me something for Christmas I’d like to see Kenny Loggins well it took him a little while to get that promise taken care of but I did get to see you and certainly there were several times during that evening that you made me cry. One night when you were in the Chicago area stopped in the bar after the performance and my sister-in-law served you. And she asked you for a favor something she is never allowed to do but she did it for me. She asked you to sign your name for me. She said it has to say to Barbara Jane because that is the way that she’ll know that it really happened, about three days ago I was just talking about it with my homemaker. Said if I could get into that spare room and one of those boxes that has a flowered hop on. It is an autograph of Kenny Loggins their sister-in-law about me almost 40 years ago. Lots of things have happened since those days we’re not married anymore. The children were sang to whether they were sick, over exhausted, who had just had bad dreams. Are now all grown up when is married with two children the other has chosen not to marry. I have never met my granddaughters. I wish that I could say that I had, and I had had the opportunity when they were babies to sing to them just the same way I said to their mother and I don’t think Mr. Owl to be able to figure all of that out. Thank you for a wonderful concert. Almost it is it’s over 40 years ago and the gift of an autograph about 10 years later and for having this on KZbin so that I just happen to be scrolling tonight and came upon the video. Thank you for bringing back things that when they were good they were very very good. There’s other side of that but we won’t talk about it tonight. Thank you again enjoy a much earned retirement and how many people would still be waiting for you at Pooh Corner.

I hope Kenny lives out his life in peace. He has brought so much love through his story telling bringing calmer hearts and relieving all the stress we find living in this hectic world. He has brought joy and happiness making us happy dance and finding our way through a night of love and passion. There is comfort in his voice when he sings.

This brought me to tears. Instead of a song, I painted a watercolor and ink picture of pooh's corner, with Christopher Robin as part of Mr. Sanders' tree. It was for my kids. I wanted to share the magic with them too.

What a wonderful song -- I was 12 when it was first released, and 35 when it was re-released as "Return to Pooh Corner" (this version), and I had a 6 year old and a 2 year old by then. This is a magical song, it will stand the test of time. Any parent who listens to it, whether in 1994 when it was re-released, today, or in years to come, will find significant meaning and wonder in its message. (Side note: I inherited my mother's original collection of A.A. Milne books, including "House at Pooh Corner" and "Winnie the Pooh," as well as the poetry books "When We Were Young" and "When We Were Six," from the 1930s. Those were simpler times, but they are still worth reading to your children -- as I do to my grandchildren.)

I can’t make it through this song without weeping. I grew up listening to this on cassette with my parents on car rides. My dad plays guitar and it was our nightly lullaby. On the day I left home for college out of state, I made my parents a cd of songs that were ours. This was the first song on the CD. We all hugged and wept together. I can never thank Kenny enough for giving this precious song to my family 🥺❤️

I met Kenny with my daughters at his Cleveland Ohio concert in 97 I believe. My daughters were 5 & 7 years old. We were up in the front rows. It also was when his Unimaginable Life book released, and if you bought the book at the concert, you were given a backstage pass for the book signing...and so we did. My youngest daughter had her Winnie The Pooh bear with her, and as our turn came up to greet Kenny, she threw her Pooh bear at him, and with her tiny hands on her hips she demanded "sign my Pooh bear"!!! Yes, this mom was mortified, but Kenny was so great with her, and told her, "I can't resist". And so together with his manager, Kenny signed Pooh Bear's red shirt, and she still has it ....22 years later! He is a magnificent person!

@@oneitalia2312 Ha, ha! I just read both your responses! First of all, thanks! Secondly, the b*stard has held up unfairly well over the years....you'd still marry him! Makes old farts like me look bad! Thirdly, and here's the embarrassing part....I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I NEVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE! I've been gone for a while, so maybe I can use the excuse that it's a relatively new venue. I know Villa Montalvo in Los Gatos and the Paul Masson Vineyard in Saratoga, both open air places like this and cool, too, but not this place. Looks great. Kenny plays at Paul Masson every year. Maybe I'll go back for a visit....but I'd rather see him at this new (?) place. Montalvo and The Vinyard pretty much only have artists like Kenny, Boz Scaggs, Bobby Caldwell, etc. invited. Fine be me. Like me, most of those guys have slowed down over the years. Again, fine by me. Anyway, thanks, again, very much for the response. I know I've run on, here, but I grok that you're cool (hmm....grok....you may haf' ta look that up.) If ya' see me around, say hi! Peace.

Oh,🥲so sad I didn’t follow his music growing up and now, hearing this song for the first time … sad about leaving his childhood (as another commenter stated) … this childlike attitude is precious to Jesus Christ. I hope he accepted Christ’s death on the cross and and became born again. His voice is tender, sweet and he puts just the right emphasis in each word. A true master of the guitar you are, Kenny!!!?

Back to those days of ol' Kenny Loggins. The names of great ones etched deep into my noggin. Got the rest of my days alone to sing of Christopher Robin, his Pooh bear and that honey a stickin n globin. You think you did enough to make their young lives go just so. Dressed them up, brushed their hair and then a bow. Off to school my little girls, its just a short walk in the alabaster snow.
