There are home videos from '91 or '92 kicking around somewhere of me bopping up and down in front of the TV to this tune. I can confidently say these guys were the first musicians I fell in love with, literally as a baby. before I could even remember anything, their music was already programmed into my brain, most notably this one and Dumas Walker. Fast forward about 20 years later and they play a show at my local casino. My dad's best friend gets everyone tickets and low and behold, my childhood idols are standing before me. I can still say it was one of my favorite concerts I've been to, and I've been to stadium shows, arena shows, festivals, bar shows... The energy these guys put into their performance, and at this point they must have been in their 50's or 60's already. Some memories I will never forget, having a smoke outside during intermission and none other than Richard Young steps outside for some air. Memory is a little fuzzy but I asked him if he would like a cigarette and he insisted he didn't smoke and just wanted some fresh air. We chatted for a few minutes and all headed back in for the rest of the set. The show ends and of course they hold a meet and greet. I was elated. I got to meet every single one of them, shake all of their hands and ask any questions I had. Fred used to frighten me as a child and I got to tell him that and we had a good laugh hahaha. Got our album signed and finished off a night that will be in my memories forever. Thank you gentlemen for all that you have done and do. P.S. These guys truly put on an amazing live performance, way above my expectations. I was in it for the nostalgia and they fully delivered 20+ years later!

This never fails to make me smile. It (the vid not the song) has such a Monkees-esq or Beatles-esq quality to it.

I was raised on Classic Rock, moved into Heavy Metal, Blues, Jazz in my teens and 20's...but my heart always belonged to Rockabilly beginning with Elvis. Straight Country was never really a favorite of mine, but my respect and admiration has grown through the years...but these guys were always great, and had a great knack for edging into Rockabilly territory. A great band...would love to see them release a tribute to Sun Records album.

My far the coolest band from KY. Absolutely love the head hunters. I remember visiting my gramp pa in bowling green ky. He would sit out on the porch with a big wad of Copenhagen snuff in his lip. Listening to these guys. Along with a few other esp chet atkins and Jerry reid, but I remember the head hunters the most, such catchy music

Anyone else get reminded of two different show toddlers? The couch made me think of the show The Big Red Couch. The different colored shirts they wore on that big grassy field reminded me of the Teletubbies while they were fighting that bear. First time I've ever heard this song of their's. It's kind of a fun song and I'm sure if I had heard it as a kid I would have loved it. It's not all that bad it's kinda good and the video got a couple of laughs out of me.

@Kodiak157 Actually, the real history classes I remember taking in high school say that yes, there actually was a real historical figure named David Crockett who did indeed die at the battle of the Alamo. According to Wikipedia, he served as a house representative of the state of Tennessee from 1826-1830 and again in 1832.
