Finally, FINALLY, someone helpful and realistic about keto. I'm so tired of these idiots who drink protein shakes with heavy cream and tell me that I am not doing keto correctly. They tell me to not count calories ( total bs). First, I love the recipes. I love Japanese-inspired flavors and I use miso, sesame oil, and very good soy sauce from Japan regularly. Second, I am a slender woman. I have a good metabolism but a small frame and am 167 cm. My BMI is 20 or 21. When I want to drop a few pounds I CANNOT go over 1200 cals. My macros are approx. 75 gm. protein, 75 gm. fat, 40 gm. carbs. I also drink a glass of red wine each night. This seems to work well for me when I want to lose a little weight. When I don't, I bump it up another 400 calories with a combination of protein and fat.

Yup, real food always wins. Just counting carbs is total BS if you want to make any meaningful body composition changes. Glad to hear you're on the same page!

I love that you did this... I've been doing omad (23:1) and alternating with 36:12 hour IF... Strict fasting windows. I was finding, being vegetarian that my one meal was very carb laden, I'm wanting to switch to a pescetarian keto omad... I lost 35lbs in 4 months and have 30lb to get back to my healthy (and ideal) weight of 125lbs .. I think combining keto with IF will break the plateau and help me regain my health. I don't count calories or macros ... My brain doesn't work that way, but seeing what a 1200 cal meal looks like, as a visual learner... Is perfect. Thank you so much ❤ (What would your ideal 1200 cal @30g or less carbs and pescetarian, look like to you!?)

How much does your macro tracking cost please. I have your recipe book, its very helpful. I have lost 11 kilos in 4 months but am not tracking and probably not having balanced meals. I don’t do a lot of exercise being 77 and feel tired after lunchtime. Thanks I love your commonsense approach to Keto.

This seems simple and sensible to me. Since I'm a man, I would likely just double every main portion and dial back on the added fat as much as possible (cheese and steak butter for example) until maybe I get to ~2000 calories on the day. That would still provide good protein and suit me right down to the ground. Nice video. Thanks.

Love this! Could you recommended a substitution for the cauliflower rice? Such as an equivalent amount using quinoa, or a different carb? It's hard to get the cauliflower rice

I am finding I've stalled weight loss on higher fat keto atm. I have 2 more stone to lose and am thinking the fats I'm eating are just being used for energy and it's not touching stored fat now. I've lost 16lb in 6 weeks but stall for a week or so then just lose a Lb ....I am prediabetic and have heard more protein can cause spikes due to the glucose levels the body uses to burn protein? Am really wanting to get my keto diet right and am struggling to find answers lately.

I was told by my doctor not to adhere to the keto diet because it's risky. He said I should eat a diverse diet so I tried the Agoge diet and I'm starting noticing less stubborn belly fat really fast.

I may not know alot about keto diets, but I do have a sincere question. How come you got this LOVELY steak, and cooking it in butter, yet you don't add onion or green peppers to this and then add a side salad? Would it still be keto?

I have a really hard time with Keto, my taste buds can detect with extreme dislike even the smallest drop of any kind of "fake" sugar, my family has even tried to trick me.....its an absolute no go!!!! Also allergic to olives and olive oil......

I woudln't suggest cooking with olive oil (try avocado oil or coconut oil instead as they have a much higher smoke point). For salads, extra virgin olive oil is great!

Generally, eating ENOUGH protein for your body is important. Being strict keto can mitigate any potential lean muscle mass loss, but it doesn't give you any change to recomp. Being a smaller version of your current self isn't always the goal.

good ideas but everything looks so dry, so little fat. Who can eat a salad with just 1 tsp of olive oil. I would fail with these meals.
