I played this with some friends a couple of months back; i hope it has improved since then. But even at that time, it did show a good bit of promise with it's premise. One of my best experiences: One of the random's started roleplaying over the mic. "If i see you runningm i'll shoot you myself" and "left flank incoming! kill some freakin bugs. Do you wanna live forever??!". It literally made me feel like I was in the movie.

I just got helldivers 2. It is amazing. I love both games. Extermination just doesn't have a whole lot of depth/content yet. Hopefully it'll get there. I have a beast pc (gpu aside) nvidia 3070, 32 gigs of ram, and i9 13th gen. This game is very poorly optimized. My pc chugs during horde mode with lots of characters on screen in ultra settings. It looks great though!

IMO STE is the better idea and concept for a game, but they released to EA way too early whereas HD2 released in a ready state (other than some minor bugs and server issues). My hope is that STE troopers will be revived upon full release.

Since this is early access I hope they add some cool game modes like capturing the brain bug, being in a suit like Titanfall in a survival mode. And add some more physics like dismemberment (just an option) and more intense camera shock during explosions . But I'd trust the developers they doing their best to add more content and game modes so players will never be bored after 72 hrs of playing

Starship troopers, the Early Access game, was great. I bought it. I joined an extremely well fleshed out clan. We had our squads DEDICATED to their objectives with controlled communications. It was esentially a military op. We had American Army and Marine Corps, with British Army, and Royal Marines. (mostly retired) but honestly; it just got boring. The devs did an amazing job, and it isnt their fault other devs worked faster. Helldivers II is great.

I have hundreds of hours in this game, but stopped playing because it basically died... and servers became more and more filled with trolls, or non-english speaking players so communication totally broke down. Communication is really important for success in this game.

It's early access, it has a fair share of bugs. The servers are a bit laggy sometimes. But compared to Helldivers 2, it is an insanely fun and action packed experience. No running for hours, no dance dance revolution for your fingers, and no p2w machanics. Also, it's not region locked AFTER you buy the game.
