I was 19, living deep in the American suburbs. I'd walk the streets of my neighborhood night with a cassette of Goodbye Jumbo playing in serious loop mode on my Walkman. That particular recording (coupled Marlboro lights) made my summer of 90 a better place. Karl is a brilliant songwriter.

Robert Sullivan - I relate to your story, I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, and at 20 I was longing to move into the city. World Party always makes me think of bright warm sunny early summer days in Olde City after a rain. Songs like this gave me a feeling like I could make a difference in the world.

I don't think even most people I practically gave no choice but to listen to my college radio/alt music I was trying to share, at the time, would remember. Think 80s cool yeah, yet DAYS AND DAZE of BUTTROck everywhere! Nooo! Just NO. I learned people who are competitive and selfish and killing the world like it's their duty will ALWAYS leave you Alone, when it's most crucial.. Don't waste time on false hope and temporary joy. Hate your enemies: Save your friends. Speak the Truth. I'm so happy no one without enough memory or love can't share my most private memories like they can intrude upon my thoughts any time to even approach a subject until the day I die OLD, alone or not. I've remained free. That's how I'll die! You're on your way there, too. Just The way you Are. Cheers!
