That's a lovely thing to do. But being a Brit with the NHS which i thank God for everyday. I rage that your dad had that debt in the first place. Being ill should not put anyone into debt. And of equal importance, they supported their children’s dreams and took care of them financially which helped their kids achieve success in the first place. @DMx-q6w If u had shitty parents just say so✋😔. A child who loves his parents doesn’t have a mentality of owing or not owing when it comes to them. He doesn’t reduce their sacrifice and love to a job. He just wanna take care of them when he grows strong and capable and they grow old and vulnerable, like they spent years of blood sweat and tears from their youth and capability to bring him into this world and raise his little self into that capable individual. He believes he could owe them his entire life and that even wont be enough. But its not a debt for him, it’s something he does from heart, because the love between a parent and a child is unconditional. Unless he had shitty parents like u did as im assuming ✋😔

For all the years I was married I didn’t really get birthday presents or Mother’s Day presents unless I bought them for myself. I bought my own Christmas presents and wrapped them up for Christmas morning. A few years after I was separated and my boys both got jobs they surprised me by getting me an electric piano as a birthday/Mother’s Day (they are close together) as a gift to make up for all the years they weren’t able to get me anything on their own. It may not seem like much compared to these videos but it’s something they knew I’ve always wanted since I hadn’t had a piano in over 20years. I cried with such pride. They could have gotten me a card and I’d have been happy and they know that. It’s been a few years and I still get emotional every time I play it. Give them love and they will give you love back. What I feel sad about is (as a non American) seeing a mother of a guy old enough to earn enough money to pay off someone elses student loans, still paying off her education! Although his reaction to his mum at 7:19 when she was crying and told someone "my son just paid off all my school loans", was so sweet, and you can see how good he felt doing that for her! Possibly the only time a guy is HAPPY to see his mum cry! As far as I'm concerned, this is definitely a case where all these kids deserve every cent they earn, and every success they get! Imagine the feeling, knowing you're responsible for your mother saying "we're free".

Im so happy for these families. I have been in school for so long studying day and night for years and years (over a decade since college) to become a doctor. I was always broke and my parents, especially my dad, always offered to help however they could. I could not wait to finally repay them. I am finally in my last year of residency, I have a job lined up soon, and my father was just about to retire (he had been through the military then worked day and night in construction 6 days a week to support us). He had all these plans for his retirement and we were so happy for him. One month before his retirement, he received a terrible diagnosis with a grave prognosis and is now bed-bound in hospice and may not even make it to my graduation from residency. Our lives took such a tragic turn right at the peak when it was finally going to go well. You never know what to expect from life and need to make the most of it whenever you can. Sometimes the world is just a cruel place.
