That’s so sad. I had a car accident with a concussion once. I was dating a girl for two years at the time and my parents wouldn’t even let me see her. I had to sit in a dark silent room for two weeks straight. No phone. Nothing. Darkness. Allowing the brain to heal. I can only imagine how she’s doing it. Go her!!!

I developed Post-Concussion Syndrome and its debilitating, completely altered the course of my life. Work-Cover decided not to cover me for my symptoms- calling it anxiety unrelated to the concussion, even with post-concussion syndrome diagnosed and medical certificates. In the state I was in then, with no way to process or think correctly I couldn't fight it. I had to focus on surviving with my heart rate, blood pressure sky rocketing with any stimuli- light, sound, let alone adding emotional stress. Pressure headaches, confusion to the point your walking around in circles. 3 years later- alot of support from family, yoga, meditation 🧘‍♀️ anything to support parasympathetic nervous system. I feel functional again! People really need awareness around post-concussion syndrome, and other issues that can develop from a concussion. Thank god Kiesza got the help she needed and I really hope her life gets better from here! It takes so much courage! Good on her for fighting the fight and coming back 💪 👏 🙌
