Fedor would literally go into the guys most dangerous aspect and beat them. Its why he was the most exciting fighter ever, if he fought Francis he wouldnt run away the first 2 minutes like Stipe then wear him out then finally decide to start going to work. He would throw bombs at Francis instantly before Francis got a punch off...Its not about winning sometimes but how you go about winning. I look at Fedor's defeats this way: 1. Fedor basically went undefeated for 10 years, since his debut up until the Werdum fight (I don't count that stoppage vs Kosaka because it was a misfortunate cut due to Kosaka being his second opponent of the night, and also because Fedor won the rematch in dominant fashion) 2. He lost against Werdum whom he dropped and started to GNP, but he was reckless and allowed Werdum to submit him (important note: Werdum failed a drug test) 3. He lost against Bigfoot Silva once again because he was careless and was dominating him most of the time and doctors decided that he is unable to continue, so just like against Kosaka he wasn't KOed or submitted (important note: Bigfoot Silva also failed a drug test) 4. He lost against Hendo once again for trying to finish him early on after dropping him (important note: Henderson was probably the 3rd most notorious TRT user after Overeem and Belfort) 5. He lost against Mitrione after that double knockdown where Mitrione was the first man to stand up (some might call it luck, but I'll say it's probably because of his weakened chin after all the wars he went through up until that moment) 6. He lost against Bader after he was caught off guard, not an excuse of course (also, we must consider his chin). So, the way I see it: 1. Fedor has beaten 7 UFC champions (Arlovski, Sylvia, Nogueira x2, Mir, Coleman x2, Randleman, Rampage). 2. Fedor has beaten multiple UFC title challengers (Sonnen, Rizzo, Hunt, Monson, to name a few). 3. Fedor went undefeated for 10 years (not counting the first one due to cut above the eye). 4. Fedor was the smaller guy in most of his fights. 5. Out of his 5 losses, 3 were against the known PED users. 6. He lost to Werdum -> Werdum became a champion. 7. He lost to Henderson -> Henderson arguably beat Bisping and deserved the UFC middleweight belt, challenged for the UFC title 3 times altogether and beat 21 MMA champions altogether in four major promotions. 8. He lost to BIgfoot Silva -> Silva fought for the UFC heavyweight title. 9. Fedor never even tried to find an excuse for any of his defeats and always showed how humble he is, which is a very important trait for a champion. 10. He was willing to sign for the UFC and fight that PED freak Lesnar, so it wasn't like he was trying to "avoid UFC due to fear of getting exposed". 11. Many consider Pride to be a golden age for MMA and Fedor was the undisputed king there. 12. If we exclude his first loss due to unfortunate cut after having to fight 2 times in one night, and if we exclude his last 2 defeats after he was already far from his prime, Fedor basically lost only 3 times in his career, all of his 3 defeats came consecutively, so it was one tough period for him, not to mention he was knocking down and beating all 3 of his opponents prior to those losses. In his own words, he was dealing with some personal and family difficulties, his brother was a trouble maker, junky, rapist, went to prison, got STD, etc. The way I see it, Fedor must be considered when we are talking about top 3 GOATS of the MMA. And the other 2 must be GSP and Jones. The logic behind it is simple: the opponents they beat, the longevity of their reign and their MMA score. I am not even considering Johnson because of his weight class and lack of competition, Silva due to 2 losses to an average Weidman and his losing streak because he doesn't know when it's enough, and Khabib because he doesn't even have 5 big names in his resume. The only other fighter that might be thrown into the mix is Cormier. So I think that between those 3 or 4 fighters we should be looking for a GOAT. And in my personal opinion, that title belongs to Fedor.

REPTILIANMAN 626 I think stipe could win in a bout with fedor, fedor is a brawler and a grappler Francsis Ngannuo tried to brawl with stipe but stipe kept slipping and rolling his jabs and hooks and is quite good at his wrestling I think stipe via unanimous decision
@buffalophil36303 жыл бұрын
@@showkatali4896 umm no he's not a brawler that's actually a fighting style if you knew anything about fedor he's trained that way his whole life those punches aren't wild they are calculated clearly..fedor prime would probably decimate stipe in all aspects of fighting..imagine throwing stipe to the lions of heavyweight during pride days..he'd stand no chance
@showkatali48963 жыл бұрын
REPTILIANMAN 626 he was a brawler tho.. If you look at his stand up he would throw hooks and overhands and take a couple blows to the face that's what a brawler does if he was a technical striker he would throw a jab move get rid of the legs and move and he would take his time and use his defence and saying stipe has no chance against the heavyweights in pride fc is just stupid, stipe is very technical with is ground game if you see his fights and pride fc was in Japan right? Isn't Japan one of the most corrupted areas to fight? They never made you do drug tests and it is quite likely that most of fedor fights were staged BUT it's quite likely I never said they were but they are QUITE likely they were fake

He is the GOAT in MMA, prime Fedor was terrifying. His silent reserved nature, lack of expression, ruthless efficiency and honour and respect above all made him an MMA machine. He beat all of the best when they were in their primes and sat on his throne at the top of the game as the universally acknowledged Emperor. I've still to this day never seen anyone as ferocious and dominant as Fedor.

Watch closely how at the last moment Fedor managed to free his arm, which allowed him to land on his shoulder\arm rahter then straight on neck. Pretty sure, it would be different story otherwise.

51dodoc I agree & it’s easy for some of the haters to pick him apart...after the fact. I have been saying for years that fighters have a “shelf life” on their chin & this was evident late in his career. He would have evolved with the sport...no doubt & I also have been following mma since the late 90’s. Big Nog was never the same after his fights with Fedor, his eggs were scrambled. By the time he got to Werdum his peak was way past. I gauge a person’s mma IQ by how they respond about Fedor:

One of the best, if not the best all around fighters I’ve ever seen. This man was always so calm, even stoic throughout the fight and quietly slayed his opponents. “Vicious ground and pound” was a very accurate statement.
