@johnny449376 ай бұрын
Crazy how he was right😂
@luigiboyinblu6 ай бұрын
I understand where that’s coming from, but I’d argue that the fact that he wasn’t shown as much makes it even better. One of the things that makes him so intimidating is that he has a lot of agency in the story even when he isn’t shown. He’s like a ghost, a presence who, to an extent, is always watching, pulling strings from the shadows and could strike at any moment. Everytime when the Proximus squad attacks, we know it’s not because they’re 100% willingly doing it, it’s because they’re following direct orders from Proximus and his ideology. Everytime the gorilla screams “For Caesar”, we later realize it isn’t for the real Caesar, but for Proximus who is genuinely convinced he IS the next Caesar. So in that sense, it feels like every single scene he is shown is more carefully selected. Even if he steals the show because of how incredibly interesting he is as a villain, the fact that he only appears when the story needs him to surrounds him in a more threatening aura. I hope I wasn’t the only one that was waiting for Proximus to ambush Noa and Mae’s team when they infiltrated the base at different points of the sequence and was genuinely surprised when he was waiting at the other side of the door.

@@luigiboyinbluit would be different if proximus had been hyped up more by name prior to the first scene. I don’t even think Raka even mentioned proximus by name when talking to now , only talking about his masked clan. There are only about 350 Orangutans in captivity in the United States so this could have been a small detail suggesting there just weren't very many here to begin with, the only place in the west coast you would find Orangutans are in the San Diego Zoo sort of implying the rarity of the beloved one we saw, while on the otherhand there are gorillas in the San Francisco Zoo and the San Diego Zoo sort of offsetting the singular Orangutan we saw but not by very much because there are also 350 gorillas in the US within captivity. This could be a 2000 IQ detail added within the movies but don't take my word for it.

Why is NO one talking about the fact that she is wearing pants and a halter top?
@Nihghtbot6 ай бұрын
Good eye! This particular detail is called foreshadowing. Its just movie directors using clothes and different design cues to give away an idea of the future, May was given clothes much different as opposed to the prehistoric humans living along with the zebras, the dramatic irony is the apes did not understand what it all meant because May and her human counterparts are still inifinitly smarter than the apes, and the apes believe they have become smarter but not even being able to pick up on the clothes that she wore when they met her. My best guess as to why most people did not pick up on this is because they would rather focus on the ideas of how she knew exactly where to go inside the military vault rather than smaller details as to how she knew how to get there in the first place, and why was this place of significance, and also how intelligent you have to be create bombs and what her connection was towards looking through that telescope and the group of people she met at the end clearly still just as advanced as before reconnecting sattelite communications with the United States. To be completely honest most people watched this through the perspective of an ape who hasn't particularly evolved to the human potential yet so that could also be the reason?
