I’m Scottish & I drink Whisky & I also smoke Cigars !……. Been to Cuba & smoked some of the best along with some of the ‘lesser’ ones !……. Same goes for Whisky…..drank some of the rarest & most expensive along with some of the ‘lesser’ ones !……. End of the day I like what I like & it’s not always the case that the rarest or more expensive brands are the best… imho…….. It’s all down to personal taste & if it gives you enjoyment !……. I don’t like heavily peated or overly smoky Whisky regardless of price or its rarety……… nor do I like Cigars that are too peppery & prefer a ‘creamier’ smoke that can be found in expensive & cheaper Cigars alike !……. So let’s not get too bogged down in tasting notes & what the ‘experts’ think is the best…… just be honest with yourself & enjoy what you like best !……. Slange var…..🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃

Tamdhu makes such good whisky! Their cask strength is one of my favorites. And I’m drinking a Springbank 12 cask strength while watching this, they absolutely deserve their reputation. Even though it is just about unobtainium. Also can highly recommend Kilchoman sanaig.

Interesting comment on the serving temperature- it gets a bit hot here in Australia so we tend to use ice purely to bring it down to a “European” room temperature

Three cigar puffs and you wont taste the complexity of an expensive Whisky, as the smoke coats your palate. It may still be a very tasty experience though!

You do not want to swirl whiskey, unlike with wine! Notice that Christopher never did. It has the opposite effect you want. If anything, you don want to swish the whiskey in your mouth to coat your palette for maximum appreciation.
