I was in 9th row. Don't forget John Osborne with the hat (Brothers Osborne). Great video, thanks for posting. If you have the Steve Wariner performance please post. He was the unexpected highlight in my opinion. Playing that gorgeous Nashville Gentleman Gretsch...

1st let me recognize Mr May 🎸LEGEND I was rockin with Joe when he ran with his Gang back in Detroit … Rockin Icon The Who had them touring world-wide after their 2nd LP I think What a way to learn the ropes Joe n Moonie … Jimmy Page said he has a "tremendous feel for the instrument", Eric Clapton "He's one of the best guitarists to surface in some time", and Pete Townshend, said "Joe Walsh is a fluid and intelligent player. There're not many like that around." This was all said in the late 60’s early 70’s !!! The man showed talent way back then. Glad to say I witnessed it, I lived it !!! ✌️

Is there 1 million baby boomers still alive that know how to use KZbin? I am 65, love the music but let's face it, this music is almost 50 years old and most young people won't listen to it. To put it in perspective, it would be like me putting in a cassette and and me and my buddies in HS listening to music from 1928. I bet you weren't listening to 1920s music as a teen, why would teens in 2022 listen to Joe Walsh?

Seeing Sammy be Joe's guitar tech reminds me of the old joke where the pope tells his driver he wants to switch for the day. He get's pulled over and the cop radios back to base saying "I think I've really messed up this time" The dispatcher asks, "Who did you pull over?" The cop answers, "I don't know, but he's being driven around by the pope!" :D

Back in the last century (1992) the city of Seville in Spain hosted "Guitar Expo' 92". Brian May was the MC of the show and musical director. Joe Walsh took part in the event, as well as many other guitarists of various genres. I vaguely remember Paul Rodgers singing "Hey Joe" with Brian, Joe Walsh and Joe Satriani sharing lead guitar duties. I think Nuno Bettencourt and Gary Cherone were on the bill (maybe?) also. Well worth a look if you can find it.

He kicks ass! A true musician just like May but very different styles! The Eagles were lucky to get Walsh although Felder was pretty darn good but the assholes Henley and Fry were greedy and lost him but Eagles still top 2 American bands ever! Don't have to much to say about May And Mercury, both top notch but again it's all subjective, I prefer the Eagles more than Queen, you might like Queens songs better! Just good to see them out there still kicking ass like in the 70's when classic rock took off, we had the best Era of music in the 70's and 80's with so many fantastic bands! All the concerts I used to wait in line to get tickets to, those were the Best days and times and now everything sucks and time is short! We all had such paradise and now we see the world coming to an end! God Bless Everyone 🙌 🙏 Peace Out ✌ ☮

I always said that Sammy Hagar is a team player. He`s doing the dirty work too and renounces to play himself, although he could easily keep up with all those guitar guys on stage - Brian May excluded. ;-))

I saw Sammy back when he had his own band (before joining Van Halen). He was opening for Boston in Fayetteville, NC. While he had a lead guitarist so he could play rhythm and concentrate on vocals, he busted out a solo on an "Electric Log" that was amazing! He really got the crowd pumped up. As a member of Van Halen, any interview I heard him do where they tried to talk about not doing lead guitar or fronting his own group, he always said that he was just happy to be a member of the greatest rock and roll band in the world. Dude kept it real.

The pinned post mentions that it's John Osborne of the "Brothers Osborne". That SG may be an early 60's model that was the temporary "Les Paul" model. Hard for me to tell for sure, since I can't read if it says so on the headstock on the truss rod cover.

Now having said that Eddie's son Wolf is pretty good but he's not his Dad and does not claim to be. Eddie changed the way people play the guitar. I'm sure I will be told how wrong that I am like that has Never happened before.
