It's always interesting to me when chefs argue with Ramsay about cleanliness... Because having watched a number of cooking and cooking related shows, I've started noticing that most great chefs are really OCD about cleanliness. I can't remember what the show was called, but it involved a multi-michelin starred chef... And she had her entire brigade clean the kitchen while they were in service. The entire thing was so well organized they managed to wipe down the entire kitchen in just over a minute... They would do this multiple times per service.

If I was so inclined to open a restaurant I'd watch as many of these episodes as possible. Seems like the most import thing is cleanliness, everything labeled, simple menu, fresh food, communication and organized kitchen. I know there is more then this but seems to me if they watch these things the others will fall into place with good work diligence.

Seriously.. if you can fix those problems before calling Gordon in then you’d be well off. I don’t know if it’s true but I heard that once Gordon helps and fixes a place, the owners of the property (the land) Who are leasing the property to the restaurant owners End up driving up the rent because of Ramsey just showing up. It’s shitty.

Overall, The Secret Garden had a pretty solid run after Kitchen Nightmares, staying open for around eight years. However, The Secret Garden closed in 2015 because Michel sold the restaurant to a new owner. Michel said that this was because he was going through a divorce.

I think the Production company is located there and Chef Ramsey also would have been filming his other shows like Master Chef and Hell’s Kitchen also in LA simultaneously. Since LA is so big, with nearly 25,000 restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, I imagine they have plenty of potential restaurants to choose from that would work on the show.
