Not too crazy if they all believed in the restaurant. What's crazy to me is that they put their houses up, didn't seem to have a contract or anything else to show for their investment, AND they seemingly had zero say. What? They are Angel investors, should be partners, and they should be keenly aware of the what the books look like. Additionally, all three of the ladies should have known what was going on in the kitchen and freezers/refrigerators. They should also be eating there and tasting the food at least periodically. Ramsey had one craptastic meal and went straight to the kitchen to find out why it was so bad... in the span of less than 12 hours. They've had years.

Why would she care? Her mom and sister put up their homes, per her own admission she only put up $1k and her expenses are being paid. But… the mom and sister are also accountable, they are frustrated but being majority owners they also have the majority to force Tatiana to make changes or remove her as an active participant in the business. She is not an evil person but definitely manipulative - she charms, she dominates, she cries as needed. This was a big nest of facilitators. The Mom and the sister mesmerized by the beautiful Tatiana who is basically a spoiled child, unable to face reality or take criticism. Like a true sore loser who's mad when someone is doing better job than him. He knows English but refused to speak it to avoid the confrontations but Gordon saw his body language and he has dealt with many mental people so he's very used to see their body language. Also, he got spoiled by Tatiana and he knew Tatiana won't be mad at him. When Tatiana finally fired him, he realized he can't use her anymore and looked genuinely shocked.

The more I watch Chef Ramsay, the more respect I have for him. His mind is very sharp. He takes time to listen and observe in order to identify what’s wrong at the root using critical thinking. He then takes on the problem or the problematic person head on like a man in order to resolve issues. Chef Ramsay is a man of very strong leadership. A crying lady will not be able to weaken Chef Ramsay in any way. In fact, a leader like Chef Ramsay knows that he must remain strong so that he can make a crying boss stronger for her to go make the right decisions.

@@brih220 also the way she said "about 1000 dollars" showed how little she realizes the severity of the situation. To her mom and sister, this restaurant means everything. To her, it's just a thousand dollar investment. There was so much wrong in this episode on top of all this. The family is a bunch of enablers. The mother asking why Casimiro was getting fired was insane. That food looked so bad you didnt even need to taste it. If my home and my daughter's home was on the line, idgaf who needs to get fired. Tatiana boozing on the job and letting that line cook run the kitchen shows that she never really cared about running a restaurant, she just wanted the title of being a Restaurant Owner.

The way Tatiana's sister just coldly stared at her *every time* Tatiana had to make another comment showed just how exhausted and done she was in this situation.

Daniela should have been running that kitchen as head chef, not Casimiro. She is clearly talented, driven, intelligent and incredibly skilled and, was basically acting as the head chef as she tried to compensate for Casimiro’s incompetence. Not to mention, acting as interpreter for a man who’s lived in The U.S. for nearly 15 years and somehow has barely learned to speak a word of English… Or at least he pretends to not understand English when it’s convenient for him…

I worked many years in restaurants in both the front and the back of the house. A cook or chef that doesn't want to work fast doesn't want a job (assuming management manages). You've got to be able to juggle many tasks and be aware of what's going on with every ticket or order, all at once. It's the same for the front of the house.

The moment a restaurant offers its WAITRESS to take ownership you just know it's bad. What qualifications could a waitress have to run a restaurant? Sure some could have education in it but most only do it as a Minijob to earn some money on the side. No experience, no Education, and she thought she could run a restaurant that already had a bad name?

@@Orangecatenergy There's actually another Kitchen Nightmares episode when 2 Waitresses took over a restaurant. The name is Classic American. Unlike Tatiana who's manipulating her own family to keep the restaurant for herself, those 2 are hardworking and they are genuinely confused of how to manage a restaurant in general. Also, the episode is one of the most peaceful KN episodes because there's no bad people, everyone accepted their mistakes, they respect to Gordon, the kitchen is surprisingly clean. The restaurant took 3 years to survive after the episode aired and they're still continuing their catering business. 3 years is fine but if you can survive for more than 5 years after the episode aired now it's a great accomplishment.
