"It's important to recognize where you are in the process and also that you must go through every single stage when you're learning new."( 9:42 ) "Remember you can always choose to quit but only do so after you've thought through all of these steps and really navigated and analyzed where you are in the process" ( 10:26) Thank you so much for this insight!

This is perfect!! I am a generalist and an avid learner but I always felt discouraged about dabbling into so many things at once + I used to give up too early. Seeing you learning so many different things + explaining the process is 👌👌👌👌 Thanks for the inspiration!

My roadblock to learning Swedish is learning that there is no defined rule for using en and ett (the feminine and masculine way that you add to a word to say anything from "A cat" to "The cats") You instead learn it separately for each word. There is apparently just an intuition you develop overtime to know which "sounds" right, sort of similar to using an or a to talking about an object, but an and a have some better defined rules. En and Ett have none. Thankfully, most things are en words and someone will know what you're saying even if you use the wrong one, but it gets more complicated when the en ett article is used to pluralize or replace "the, because it changes the word a lot For instance A cat - En katt. The cat - Katten. The cats - Katterna A house - Ett hus. The house - Huset. The houses - Husen. And this is where the second road block came in. I couldn't find rules for pluralizing words that seemed to follow any typical pattern. Sometimes it's noun-arna Sometimes it's noun-erna and sometimes even noun-orna Sometimes the word would seem like it would flow properly, katter (cats) then katterna, makes sense, because katter is cats, so you'd keep er for the plural and na to indicate "the". But some other words had ar or er or or and instead change it when you say it as a plural and the and I don't know why. My guess is for flow, but it's still frustrating because you want to follow a pattern when you learn it. Or that a letter would change. A good example of this is hands. Hand - Hands - The hand - The hands Hand - Händer - Handen - Händerna. Why change the a to ä and only in the instance of pluralizing? Just weird little things that I don't feel flow would always throw me off. Because I'd guess on how to say a sentence and pluralize or add the as an article, and SOMETHING would be off. I'd always be close, but not quite. It's hard enough admitting mistakes, it feels demoralizing when they happen so often and it's just a small thing, because you want to get it right. Somethings made sense and others just didn't and I had trouble finding out why something is this way instead of an intuitive flow. Other things in the language are fantastic. I like quickly replacing the formation of one word to mean the or plural instead of using other separate words to convey the same thing. I'm also not at all saying English is better. I know it's a absolute mishmash of nonsense that decided, lets have Germanic pronunciation with Latin/French spelling and makes it massively unintuitive. There are also a ton of filler words used to make the sentence make sense. More intuitive languages, like Swedish and also Japanese (from the year long class I took in college) cut a lot of those words out. Directly translated it becomes "caveman speak" but it's still understandable. Instead of "The dog went to the tree the sniff a squirrel." It would be more like "dog had travel tree, sniff squirrel. Cutting out a lot of use of to, the, a. You still understand what the dog did and why.

Thank you so very very much!!!! I have definitely experienced all of these although never thought of it as a structured sequence!!!! This sequence that you explained will be Very helpful for the days that I feel like quiting everything die to nothing working out the way I desire!! Those have been some very dark days although I have realized that there are many times that I just need to let it go until I feel the urge and desire ...or craving...to go back to it!!! Thank you so much!! This will definitely brighten my darker days!!!! ♥️

Thank you! This video was GREAT! I teach introductory IT courses for Adult Ed. and college students. With computers being everywhere, you'd think this would mean that it's easy to pickup a new skill, like IT, but for many people this is outside their comfort zone and I have so many students give up and quit. It's encouraging to see you share a progression on how to learn. Do you have any suggestions for note taking through this journey? I LOVE your videos! Thanks again!

I really enjoyed this! I'm just coming out of college and want to really grow many aspects of my life but I am struggling to see things through and commit. I also am just a curious person so I get interested in various field and get excited to learn but when I hit a roadblock I get discouraged. This video has given me food for thought and inspiration and motivation with the mindset you've shared. I'd love to hear more about this mindset and get an insight into how you think through obstacles as they come.

Such a motivational video!! You never disappoints us with your videos, Kize. I was looking for some things which can bring me back to the track and **boom** I found your video. Even though I know every new thing needs patience, determination and hard work, still the learning process can also make you lose hope when you become tired and disappointed in your own improvement level. But I've read somewhere "Don't judge your success on someone else's progress". So today I'm leaving this comment here and I'll definitely come back here when I achieve my goals which I'm looking forward to now. Love you a lot ❤️ And all the best for your future whoever's reading this comment. Just believe in yourself, the process might be hard but you'll never regret the thing that "I've never tried this thing." Enjoying life is what it matters. So, try out everything you want 🤝🏼 this world is huge and beautiful with magnificent things 💫

Just found your channel. Thank you for all the hard work. Quick Question: I am starting to try out a hobby on daily basis. How much time on average it takes from beginner level to a good level (not expert level) ? I understand some may take more while some may take less. But I just need an average time.
