Klim K Fifty 1 & 2 Protective Motorcycle Riding Jeans Review

I thoroughly tested the Klim K Fifty 2 motorcycle riding jeans during a recent 9-day motorcycle trip to Sturgis 2020, the 80th Anniversary. I rode 3200 miles in them and rode in temperatures ranging from 50 degrees to 100+ degrees.
Klim K Fifty 1 & 2 Jeans deliver abrasion resistance, impact coverage and style. Heavy-duty Cordura denim is backed by DuPont™ Kevlar® panels to keep the pavement from coming through. Great job describing the daily use and the feel of the jeans. But we want to see a skid test. Drag a dummy behind the bike with each pair of jeans, find out which one has the longest skid time, or use a sand belter u can be the next Adam savage:)

I have used the Klim K Fifty 2 for two years and I am happy with fit and the stealth look. I had to return the first pair because it was too large, so try them on before you strip off all the tags.

Agreed. I normally wear 36 waist in Levi's 501s but ordered the 34 waist in my k52s and they fit like my Levi's. Not sure why their waist sizing is off like that.

Hi Ryan, I ride with the Fifty 2 jeans. Great protection and comfortable on two Saddle Sore 1000 rides with similar temperature ranges (low 40s to over 100). Expensive buy in but they last for years so worth the price.

Riding Jeans can be pricey... I like the idea, but I just keep going back to my Olympia overpants. Strip them off in the parking lot with regular jeans underneath. Plus, they're great at insulating from heat (both sun and motor).

I’ve had a pair of Klim K52 jeans for a couple years now...my “go to” riding jeans! Love them! My only complaint is that I bought the 34” waist, as I normally wear a 33” Jean, and they are a little loose...should have gotten the 32” waist. A great pair of riding jeans at a reasonable price! And, love that they are not “skinny jeans” as so many riding jeans are! 👍

Yup my 34 klims fit like 36 Levi's. Definitely larger than the number indicates. Not sure why.

I wear my motor officer under armor under my jeans, can wear them for protection. Maybe I'll check these out though, Up to now it seemed jeans like this had that cheesy stitching on the back pockets making them look like girly jeans.

nice jeans, but like them or not $300.00 a pair is way out of my league. spent all my retirement savings on the road glide i promised myself, and i could not be happier with it. for those who can afford such gear i would say jump on them, they look great. but for me, i'll just be content to be able to do with what i have, and feel lucky to get on the road. see you out there, i'll be the one with the huge grin on my face and contentment in my soul. keep your shiny side up.

Yes Leather looks cool but you are always going to get caught in the rain in most Regions of the USA. I hit a Deer and took a 50 MPH slide.. had holes in my work pants at the knees.. the blue material on the thights turned brwon from frition.. My Knees were badly bruised , skinned up and bleeding.. I shreded a pair of leather / Neopreme gloves too .. Now I have a pair of the KLIM pants.. I prefer the relaxed fit as it's hard to get your leg of the seat with the straight cut jeans.. The Pants material is Anti Abrasion they won't easily get holes in them like cotton / polyester jeans will. The inside lining fabric is Kevlar which has a high heat reistance and will not melt to your skin under sliding frition like normal materiasl will ..
