Just got a pair of The Nines. They're pretty fantastic. Without any adjustments in the app and in my room I think I hear the "cabinet resonance" they are referring to. To my ears it's more of a congestion in the low mids. I quickly resolved it and even think I've found the secret sauce for amazing separation and depth. I actually turned ON the Dynamic Bass EQ, then I set the room config to "corner" which drops the low end 6db. And then did very slight EQ adjustments to taste. Added lots of frequency separation and depth. Almost like a high pass filter in a way.

I have had The Nines for a few months now. Spectacular detail and clarity for a powered system. I found that leaving the bass and mids flat and boosting the treble by a notch creates a holographic experience that is nothing short of magic. They are paired with Klipsch's new Reference Premiere 12-inch subwoofer. Movie theaters are now nonessential.

I laughed and then listened closely in other rooms of my apartment and was amazed at the bass reproduction I was hearing. So I think it depends on what music you are listening to and where you are listening to it. Also I use these straight out of my Mac Mini M2.

I love my Sevens. If I had a bigger room I would have gone with the Nines probably. I’ve had them since early March. I want to eventually add a subwoofer to compliment them. From my understanding they have a built in crossover at 80hz. I also want to add a turntable or possibly a CD player. Otherwise I primarily stream music via Tidal Hifi from my personal computer via USB or when working I utilize the WiiM Mini for Tidal Connect via my iPhone. I love the look of these speakers and in my opinion you can’t find a better looking pair of power “bookshelf” speakers. Alas beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To each their own. I must say as soon as I got them I knocked my knuckles on them and they felt rather stout. Even at high volumes the cabinet is rather sound. I find that resonance occurs more thru the bottom of them than it did with the Fives. I need better speaker stands because I can feel them thru my floor. I want the Ultimate Support MS80/36s.

I am suffering from analysis paralysis in the upgrade of my dedicated listening only station but still thinking of getting an integrated amp with passive speakers with enough bass that a subwoofer is just not needed (is that even possible??). Yes, this is going to sound crazy, but I'm doing it anyway. I plan on using the nines for my rear speakers using Mt Yamaha A8A. My reasoning is that sometimes I just want more rear Chanel impact, like when a dragon roars or a big gun fight. All I would have to do is turn up the volume in my remote, then back again without interrupting the movie. Then, most importantly. When listening to music or playing my games, I'm thinking it will go to eleven. Especially mixed in with my other speakers and my 2 subwoofers. Thanks for your videos, this, and your review on the nines. I'm hopeful that I can use the analog hookups. If not, then these will be zone 2 speakers for my bedroom or outdoor listening.

I think the answer's simple... A Mk-2 of The Fives, Sevens & Nines in a year or two, with better cabinet bracing. I just pulled the trigger on a pair of The Fives & a sub. They will tide me over until I can afford a much better overall system of separate hi-fi components. However, if they do a Mk-2 I would like the volume/sub level/input indicator lights on the front, where we can see them and also, it's really annoying that the internal amp turns itself off after no sound has been playing for a minute or so - the amp should only shut off if I press the power button on the remote. On a separate but related topic, like Andrew has asked, I will also keep repeatedly asking Klipsch to make a powered Heritage line of subwoofers.
