If anyone still wants know how they connected the squares for Bellys top: they used a join method called celtic lace join. I've recently used that to join a granny square blanket so I've instantly recognized it 😄

dont let it stop you! Ive been knitting for like a month and then taught myself crochet and it somehow helped my knitting lol. Theyre different but youre not gonna confuse them, trust me lol

OMG. Don’t waste your money or time buying blocking equipment. There are 2 simple methods you can use. 1) use the steam setting on your iron. Move it a few centimetres or more above your work to relax the stitches. 2) wash/wet your work. Wring out/remove as much water as you can (I roll mine in a dry clean towel a few times). Lightly pull it into shape and let dry on a dry clean towel. As the work is drying, I check and adjust the shaping as needed. I use method 2 as I’m lazy and it works best for all my cotton ‘in the round’ tank tops. Also, blocking your work before seaming makes the garment go together easier. Note: You are fabulous and I love your work.

Great creations. It was interesting to hear the term 'duplicate stitch'. I would call that 'Swiss darn'. So true it can turn a plain knit into something amazing. 😘

When it comes to light-colored duplicated stitch over a darker color i find going up a yarn size or using a yarn with a bit of fluff or puff can help achieve a more even coverage. :)

it definitely can! you would just need to make the same amount of panels with any crochet stitch you like and for the front panel with the graph, use a pixel grid of the star rainbow and then work each square as a stitch :)

For the Belly top, sew a hook and eye closure where the gap is to hold it closed. That gap is a common problem for any close-fitting button-up.

If you’re doing more sweaters in stockinette stitch I highly recommend looking into continental style knitting. It goes a lot faster when you get the hang of it

These are all so cute! If you don't like the gapping on the button band of the Belly top, you could sew it closed or add hidden snaps on the inside! Sewing it closed would be easiest but of course make it so you'd have to pull it over your head to put it on.

I think you did a fantastic job given its the first time you've attempted to do the duplicate stitch! It looks wonderful, and I think perhaps I might try try to do this on a future bag. It looks easy enough, after some practice. I really appreciate how you try all these new things, and are very candid about the struggles and how you like them. I'd love to recreate some of these sweaters, if I can ever figure out how to make them in the first place. I've never really done a proper sweater, and have only just started making clothes. Keep making the things you love, its wonderful to watch and just feels like I'm hanging with a friend when you get so excited over everything! I really enjoy it!

To join the granny square of the first top you have to make a round of single crochet in the first top, chain 2 or 3, and make a single crochet skipping 2 or 3 stitches. Then in the next granny is to do the same but passing the chains through the chains of the other granny.I'm sorry if you don't understand much, my English is not very fluent
